Great to see a dedicated forum.

Can the guys who have a copy enlighten us on the damage system and how this interacts with the wheel.

Appreciated.

Very good infact today I had a big crash and smoke started coming out of the wheel... the downside is that I think Ill have to get a new one because this one isnt working anymore... Guess I lll have to more more carefull with this game...

kidding... :dopey: Im very sorry I couldnt resist...:dunce:

I will pay a bit more attention to the damage playing more today. Think I have had it on full already with only ABS on for driving aids.

So far I can't recall apart from very good visual damage in body parts, rolls, smoking engine and complete wreckages. You get the usual slower acceleration, limited top speed etc but again if your looking for realistic damage you wont find it here. Well so far I certainly havnt.

Id say the damage is made in a way to impede each others cars and improve races between fellow players so as a gameplay mechanic it might be okay. I havnt been able to play online to confirm that yet or tired a split screen race.

Seriously though I will say this, if any game is likely to put your wheel under serious pressure it is this one. GYMKHANA is mental. It had my T500RS making a sound I hadnt heard before after about 6 goes.
Bit concerned tbh how hard that is on FFB.

Are you really kidding or do you own a Fanatec too.

   sorry...

No I own a cheap DFGT... I wish I had a Fanatec... they are just like Alfas... great while they work...

But Im sure your will be working soon too... just send them a video description with your problem and they will send you a replacement without you having to post anything in the mail... From what Ive been reading here in the forum... youll have a new loadcell in less then one month...

Actually Trib, I think it's a hall effect sensor.
It's the throttle giving me trouble. The brake is due to go later on.

Lucky they supplied a G27 adaptor for me to try my other pedals.

Unfortunately the adaptor has been Fanatecerised too and doesn't work.

It does transform a Logitech product into a Fanatec one though. From a fully working product into a Fanatec one.

I though the adapter was to be able to use the much better clubsport pedals (when they work) with the G27/G25 wheel...
Did you send them a video yet?

No no. You can't use the CSP with a G27. Not compatible.

Yes video went in.
I've been through it all before mate.

( Made more films than Spielberg )

Im very sorry to ear that... thats why I didnt buy a Fanatec or an Xbox and Im not thinking of buying one anymore...

I always liked and played racing games but back in 2004 my girlfriend (current wife) bought me a Logitech driving force to play with GT3 and WRC that I had at the time and I got hooked real bad... I still have that wheel and it works perfectly well and thats why 2 years ago I bought a DFGT that still works perfectly (like new) and I play a lot. Im was now thinking of upgrading and though of buying an Xbox and a Fanatec because Forza fits me better than GT from what I can gather but after reading a few user reviews I gave up on the idea and Ill probably get a G27... the Logitech wheels have a much better failure rate... Im still hoping microsoft will put out a new wheel for forza 4...
