Is there anyway to adjust the steering deadzone in GT5P and the DFGT wheel. When driving sometimes it is jerky on the straights seems like it could benefit from a small amount of center deadzone but I have not saw a way to adjust this in the game.

Anyone have a solution?

You mean if you let go of the wheel it goes from side to side until it spins out?

I have not let it go that far but could be it definitely kicks back and forth at times. I let go of it on HSR coming up on the finnish line with max feedback in the Ford GT at it would have likely spun out had I not grabbed the wheel.

Mostly I just feel it jerking a little in certian places, sometimes when going straight most noticable on Daytona even with low FFB settings.

Just wondering if there is a way to adjust this out while retaining the FFB or if I just need to learn to live with it?

Yup I started a thread about the this a while ago but I was more worried about pedal deadzones.
The wheel deadzone annoys me a bit as well but not much.

But yea you are right it is a bit stupid, If you let go of the wheel in a real car even at speed it will not death wobble and kill you unless theres something seriously wrong with the car. But lets hope the new physics in GT5 will adress this and there will be no need for a deadzone, as even of the wheel moves a by a bit on straights it will not inantanesly translate to death wobble like it does in gt5p

Not a real deadzone fixer but if you change different wheel physic from the option menu you can't modify the feeling of the wheel. I don't mean the standard / professional physics. I mean something in the wheel options, I can't remember exactly right now.

I have mine set to simulation with active steering turned off. When I first drove it active steering was set to mild and mode was amatuer or whatever the top one is. I tried the active steering set to strong as well and set the power assist on but did not notice any difference in the death wobble mode.

Hopefully it will be better in GT5 but no matter placed an order for the Fanatec 911 Turbo S wheel today. :)
