devldr32.exe ... DirectSound ... wtf???

Hey guys,

I am having some major issues with my computer right now and i dont know where to start...

First of, when a devldr32.exe loads, my computer starts running slow as hell, and when I do ctrl-alt-delete the CPU is running at 100%. I kill the process and after a few minutes it pops back up!

Second when I try to play any files using winamp it pops up with the following message:

DirectSound output v2.2.6 error
Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or
select another device in configuration.
Error code: 88780078

I reinstalled the drivers that came with my sound card and still nothing...

However, when windows starts, the login sound is playing just fine. This started occuring yesterday and Im really not sure of what to make out of this because my computer was working just fine.

I tried WinDoctor, DiskCheck, and Anti-Virus check from Norton SystemWorks ... no problems anywhere.

I would really appreciate your input.

Update your Sound Blaster drivers.

Then I suggest you go find a services removal guide and remove some of the crappening services running in the background.
