this week i got my dfgt and have been struggling with drifting like everyone else so ive been playing around with settings and what not and my main problem is once i initiate the slide i go to counterstreer and feather the throttle but everytime i do i just spin out immediatly. That was with a 60/60/5 LSD now i brought it down to around 30/45/15 and its alittle more controllable but i still cant stop spinning out. any advice on whether bringing it down more will help with the spinning or am i just messing with the wrong thing.

Don't worry I struggle too in the first week, just keep at it and have fun. Here a short footages of me using dfgt wheel and I would say this is my 3-4 weeks using it.

Honestly, your going to spin out a LOT, Its all about seat time. You just need to keep at it and spin your heart out. Lol.. You won't be good at it within the first week you get the wheel. It took me, and I'm sure a bunch of others a while before we got half decent.

Thanks guys I know its gonna take awhile but its still frustrates the hell outta me :)

Everyone who owns a wheel is either in your position, or has already been there. Just keep calm and keep at it, you'll get it. ;)

I think you're either too hard or too soft on the gas, you need to find a nice middle point. You don't always want to be on the throttle but at the same time if you don't give it enough, you'll gain traction and spin.

My first few months I didn't go past third gear and kept around 3/4 throttle (not held down), kept it at a slow and steady pace. That helped me learn throttle control better before I started higher speeds. You need to learn how much throttle you need to keep the drift, its probably the most important part of drifting next to steering control.

What kind of car you using because the cars like the Tvr cebera speed 12 gonna spin out if you use too much gas and to prevent spinning you need to counter steer when the car start to slide and if it still sliding, then wait until you want to feather the gas and at the exit, catch the slide and give it more gas and straighten it out.to drift around more then one corner while still drifting, use the brake or steer to the other corner.

Thanks for those tips. I'm using the rx7 spirit r. I heard on a couple wheel posts that its a good beginner car for wheel users. But I also learned to drift with ds3 in a rx7.

I would suggest you try 5/60/60 on the lsd first. If you dont like it; go 60/60/60. If you dont like that; start lowering the first number by 5 each time. If you cant find a nice setting try one of the extremes (5/60/60 or 60/60/60) for a longer time as these are the settings most people use for their lsd's if im correct..

That's a easy car to get it right

I agree with this except the changing part. Keep the LSD at either 5 60 60 or 60 60 60 for the most realistic effect :)
