Is there a setting for adjusting the braking sensitivity in GT5? All I have to do is barely touch the brake and I am spinning. In my other racing sim there is complete control over the brake, throttle, etc. and I don't have this overly sensitive braking.

There is no setting for acceleration and braking sensitivity that I know of but I don't think the DFGT is that sensitive, just learn how to use them because I have never just "barley touch the brake" to where I've spun.

Braking sensitivity might as well be the one in the tuning settings. The Limited Slip Diff. in Drivetrain parts could help you out too. Otherwise, modify or practice makes perfect (maybe improvise a bit).

I was exaggerating a bit (once I got the hang of it some) but full braking should not be in the first 5% of the brake pedal throw. Driving fast cars requires quick reaction and if the brake pedal is too sensitive it leaves no room for error.
Also, it isn't "resistance" that is the problem.
Yes, I can "improvise" if GT5 does not provide sensitivity adjustment - just not a good driving/racing feel.

Well resistance can also help the braking sensitivity and could it just be your pedals because when ever I brake at 5% it's nowhere near full brake...

Unless he is only driving the Top Gear Elise Challenge!

Not exactly what your looking for but IMO a must for all DFGT owners. https://www.gtplanet.net/modify-your-logitech-dfgt-pedals-for-more-resistance/

People seems to miss the fact with simple and cheap mod, you can have a somewhat progressive feel to the DFGT pedal. Some bungee cord (aka Shock cord) and voila:

I never understood why wheels supposedly designed for the GT series have almost laughable options in GT while on the PC you can have complete control of every aspect of the wheel in the settings menu. PD was incredibly lazy when it came to supporting it's own wheels properly. For a supposed sim racer, you would think the wheel would have the same options for control that the PC has (and the wheel wasn't even advertised for the PC originally). I have the DF Pro and the amount of control you can have over this wheel on the PC is incredible. Sadly, no one will ever be able to experience these options in GT. Ironic.

Good point.. it not like I am using some odd wheel - there is a freaking GT5 emblem that lights up in the center of the wheel. I have other racing games (PS3 and PC) that give full control over the sensitivity and deadzone of most everything.
Like I said, I can adapt but I shouldn't have to.

Well i'll say it once again are you sure it isn't your pedals because I was just using mine for reference and in order for the brake meter to be fully filled with red representing full brake the brake pedal has to be completely down. I never have played any PC games or any wheel for PC obviously but from what I hear you can tweak the settings a lot more which I think should be brought over to the consoles but it is what it is I guess.

The amount of physical modifications that PC simmers have come up with over the years is just as astounding (which proves that software is not the answer to all your problems). Instead of just mulling over what's missing, come up with an ingenius idea to deal with the problem.

The problem with DFGT (I have one along with a G25 which I prefer) pedals is not fixable with a simple sensitivity adjustment. It's the lack of feel especially one that gives the pedal a progressive feel. The bungee cord mod kills- no, feeds two bird with one bird feeder- it fixes the inherent problem and at the same time give you less sensitivity. The most it will cost you is $10 and who knows you might even have one or two lurking in your garage/basement.

Per the game manual section 15-5: Brake Balance

Adjust the sensitivity of your front and rear brakes.

It's probably just not calibrating properly.

When you are waiting just before the a race starts, make sure you pump the brake pedal all the way to the floor a couple of times.

Then in the race you should have no problems, and your pedal should have the proper travel.

The Shock Cord mod is all fine and good but I've already replaced my cords 4 times already. It was just a waste of money so I just got a stronger spring to go under the pedals, more cost effective.

To brake without ABS you need a much lower rear brake force than with it.
The reason is that the brake distribution in GT5 works differently depending if the ABS is activated or not.
Without ABS, try 5/1 or 4/1. This will be strong enough to lock front tires at about 75% pedal pressure.

Also, each time you boot GT5 or connect your DFGT to the PS3, you have to press once the pedals all the way down to calibrate them.
(PD really should add an option to fix the calibration once set)

I heard about this, and have tried it. Still seems way over-sensitive to me though. I dont need to do this in another other game either. The lack of options is very odd. Simple things, like sensitivity, deadzone, and rotation for the DFGT you think would be in game.
