I've seen many possible mods in regards to the G25 and the late MOMO wheel. I was wondering if anyone knows any (or has been game enough to pull theirs apart) mods for the DFGT. Would gladly give up the "thousand" buttons I don't need nor use for a bigger diameter wheel - similar to chillicokes'. Thanks.

But the problem with that is all the buttons are on the wheel itself. How are you gonna navigate the menu and such?

You can navigate the menu's by using a DS3 controller assigned as controller 1, not sure how the DFGT mounts to the main body of the wheel housing.

Added to that, you will have only one motor driving a much heavier wheel in comparison to the MOMO - G25 setup.

I'm in the middle of getting quick release mechanism made for a G25/27 so I can remove the wheel when it's calibrating, as I recon thats where a good portion of wear and tear could occur with a heavier wheel.

I've just sent the drawings off to a guy who should be able to get the parts made for me, If it works I'll post the drawings up here so people can get some ideas if they want to do something similar.

Considering a quick release costs a couple of hundred pounds after you buy the proper boss's and converter's, this should work out an awfull lot cheaper, fingers crossed !

Sounds good mate. The weight was the main issue I thought of two, easy enough to get around though, plenty of ways to lighten the wheel if needed. I don't want to go too much bigger either
