au CERUMO Supra @ Suzuka That orange Supra looks soo nice!!! Orange is just a color no one takes enough pictures of.
We should have a thread just for orance cars. :dopey:
Never mind I just made one. Orange car and truck pics thread

DiabolicalMask
Wow. I didn't see this... Thanks man.

I also have a Spirra set, which I think it's orange. Feel free to use it as well if you want. 👍
y/w. I looked at your Spirra set and I think it looks more like yellow. Still great pics but I wont add them to the orange car thread.

^Yeah, I guess you are right.

Really nice man, I love the feel of speed in your pics, while you focus on the front of the car.

So, you're in the border club too from now on!?
Eheh. Nah. This was just for the PMC. I prepared all the pictures, ready for posting any of them, at any time, hence the border. ;)
Thanks! 👍

@G-T-4-Fan: I went with last one. I thought it was more what Brock was looking for. Thanks anyway. :D

Wow!! That car is really suited for B&W pics 👍 , :dopey: but how do you do to keep them so detailed and yet keep the feeling of speed ? I always have to compromise :grumpy:

Short & Sweet.
But oh how sweet it is.

The first one has the perfect amount of blur to look extremely realistic. The others are your usual amazingness.

Exactly. You have to find a good compromise between focus and sense of speed.

But most importantly, imo, you have to manual focus the part of the car you want to be in focus. By default, the camera is focusing somewhere the middle of car and the result is somewhat more messy, but that way, you have more control over what part of the car you want to keep cleaner.

Thanks, Vonie. :)

I haven't been over to your gallery in quite a while DM, probably since I haven't had a whole lot of time for browsing the board other than my infrequent updates and the comps, so I apologize now for how long this'll be ;).

I can understand what you said about deja vu being at Amalfi. It's such a picturesque track, but the angles are limited. That being said, you made it look good, and the update finished on a very good note for me, since I loved the last six shots. The two with the buildings in the background in particular, since they really give a feeling of flying through a narrow island town. Also, I'm a sucker for worm's-eye-view shots, so the 5th in the update is very cool.

The old DTM shots are all great, and I'm going to echo Vonie's sentiments that I really think any of them could've won. They're all so detailed, and Apricot Hill really suits that style of racing. Awesome 👍

I love the Cerumo, yet haven't had a chance to drive it in the game. The first big shot is nice because of the matching pylons, and then the next big one for the wonderful feeling of running the car on the ragged edge. Infact, I think this is your first update where I really do love all the big ones more than the thumbs (not that they're bad, of course, though). My favourite thumbs are the second pair, very clean as always!

As for the four PMC shots, wow, they're all such different, very good angles. I have trouble trying to do something like your first shot; I can never find that balance, but I'm sure someday I'll figure out how you manage so well. New York and the Vette, in b/w, is a perfect match. They're all good, and I think it's another case of your DTM set; any of them can be a winner. But I like the second one and the last the most, for the drama of the second and the realism of the last.

*phew*, there we go, all done catching up! ;)

Corvette Z06 Race Car @ New York

These are, hands down, some of the best B&W GT4 photography I have seen yet. The first and last shots are money. 👍 👍

I have not touched GT4 in over 2 months, but I'm seriously going to make some time tomorrow after seeing these pictures.

(As per rules, they only have B/C adjusted in PS).

Must you keep rubbing it in our faces?! :(

Oh, you don't have to apologize. I know exactly what you mean, and I really apreciate the effort. 👍

You know, most of the times I choose to post some pictures in "full-size" because they lose a lot when viewed in thumb, and that way I have to sacrifice some better looking pics and leave them as thumbs. It's not just a simple matter of prefering a picture over another.

What I said to M3_CSL. I think the trick is in using the manual focus. 👍

Come on! I had to point that. :D

Really cool B/W set of the old Vette 👍

this is just an amazing pic:

The pics of the 2 alfas and the 2 M Coupes are also very cool 👍

The Impreza pic has a very cool look, so sharp and clear! But my favorites from the last update is the Amuse and the speeding TVR 👍 👍

Thanks, franz. 👍
I love that T350 shot as well, although I think it doesn't look that good in thumb size.

TURBO (@)....
i really like how you can see the palmtree shadow on the ground. :)
It's impossible NOT to take a shot of one of those palm trees at Tahiti. ;)

Fletch
this is just an amazing pic:
Have you noticed that the 3 shots below that one are from the exact same moment...? ;)
Anyway, thanks so much. 👍

Also, thanks, Master_Yoda and Kenny! Nice to see you're back. 👍

I was going to say, that Impreza picture is nothing short of perfection! I fully tuned one of those early Mirages for the Mirage cup, talk about one loopy FF!

The Amuse is a very tidy shot, the overhead lighting defines the shapes really well. Even better is the unfocused blur of a car just out of the frame in the bottom left corner, creates a very nice visual balance! Oh yea, can't get enough of that speed blur!

Lately I've been going through both (yeap I found them), of your Photobucket.com galleries just thought I'd say you really should post the links up, some fantastic GT4 photography there! Out of all of them I can't name a favourite, that's how highly I think of them, talk about inspiration central from now on!

What I'm doing, as I'm sure you've noticed, is to pick some of the best photos from those galleries, retouch them in PS (some of them look really weird nowadays, to my taste) and, from time to time, post them here in this thread.
It's ideal in times like these, when you don't have time to touch your PS2.
That's why I won't post the links to those galleries (although it's not that difficult to find them).

Having said that, I'm really glad you still visit and enjoy them. :)

Thank you. 👍

They're all perfect, except the bumper on the Subaru looks a little botched.

What's your secret on making them all very sharp and clean? :sly:

Amazing, not a single on I don't like.
The STi looks amazingly realistic & the SLR has great motion.

Thanks, guys. 👍

;)
As I've said before in this thread, this is what I do to all my photos:

DiabolicalMask
All my pictures are Photoshopped pretty much the same way with:

- Levels
- Brightness/Contrast
- Shadows/Highlights
- Saturation
You can add "Unsharp Mask" to that list as well, as I've been using it lately.

If there's any "secret", I'd say it's in the "Levels". It's what makes the biggest difference to the photos, imo. 👍

Thanks again!

I was going to post some pictures, but looking at the way things are right now, I'd better leave it alone and post them later.
