Did inverting your pedals cause cramps?

Okay. So here is what I am talking about and I want to know if this is something that other people are noticing.

My right foot has been getting cramps playing with my G27 and it doesn't take but about 2 races. I've noticed that I am getting these cramps because I am pressing the pedal with my toes instead of with my whole foot (I guess feathering the throttle). Every time I notice this I put pressure on the pedal with my whole foot but end up going back to my toes with out knowing it.

I have always played with just socks and my foot would never do this before I inverted the pedals. Shoes are not a option for the simple reason that mostly everybody just wears socks because of pedal feel is lost in the shoe.

So my heel has always been planted, I wonder if it is just the angle of the pedal now or something else. Has anyone else noticed this?

Been bare footing since mid March and I have got a cramp or two since then. Could be use of toes more so now, since I can crab like a chimp with them.
Standing up and beer drinking all night gives me the worst though.

Never had problems because like in real life, I race with shoes !
For GT5, I choose a pair of good old Converse.

Buy some racing boots off the internet. Wear them, you looses some feel but they are better than getting cramps or using normal shoes.

Thanks for the suggetions guys. I tried wearing thin shoes (converse). They are the next best thing to socks but still don't cut it. But I haven't tried shoes since I inverted them. Sounds like I will try again.

More important than the angle of the pedal is the angle of your foot when at rest on the pedal. If it's less than 90 degrees at rest it's probably the cause of your discomfort. I played with different angles before bolting mine down.
It also sounds like your foot is too far from the pedal. Since you already bolted yours down try elevating your heel with a heel rest.
