So I spent about 2 hours last night tuning a car I just bought after the update. I shut my system off an d poof entire update is gone. All my tunes from cars before the update are their. Any cars i buy since the update there tunes and parts are gone if I shut off system. Any thoughts or Insite?

I do save them under a A B C tune tab with a name so not sure why it is deleting all work put into a tune when I shut system off??

Have you tried deleting the game data and reinstalling it? You may have gotten a bad update.

Is anyone else experiencing a slight freeze at the start of a race since the last update? It usually happens in the short cinematic before you actually gain control of the throttle. I've also seen it occur during the replay immediately after a race.

Edit: Clearing the cache removed the problem for me.

Try the Salvage Files in Options. Just a thought.

Agree with others, always press start and choose save, always, always, always.

I never trust the auto save either, & in addition to this I always make sure to wait for it to auto save before switching between screens &/or menus. Call me paranoid, but I think doing that might possibly be involved in game save data becoming corrupted.

It would be nice to have the option of turning the auto save on/off like we had in previous GT games.

I do the same thing. I don't press anything while it's loading or saving, as I have the same fear of data loss/corruption. Same thing when online, when the counter gets to the red, to start the race, stop the car and don't press anything. Especially wheel users, it causes black screens and a buggy race. This game really hates inputs while loading/saving anything.

@Bluntified - They've sped up the menus a lot, but how ironic it is that we have to wait for the auto save function to kick in & then finally get around to saving before we can proceed any further for fear of our saves being corrupted!

@VBR - It's beginning to become a routine now . I don't even notice it anymore, like second nature. But coming back to what you said before, I too wish we could turn off auto save, it drives me nuts.

Also wouldn't it be nice to be able to do a game save or car settings save when online. How many people have tuned a car racing online to only have the game freeze and to do a forced reboot and lose *ALL* your car tune and prize money :-(

I personally do a manual "Game Save" at every opportunity because I have learnt the hard way that the auto save function is very unreliable.
