Spotted this nissan 370Z tonight. Nice car, I like it.

I would be rather surprised is BMW made the 3/5 series outside of Germany, considering my bottom of the line Mercedes was made in Germany.

A lot of the 3 series models come from South Africa actually. BMW also has a factory in South Carolina.

Oh, I wouldn't be suprised by South Africa. Mercedes builds a lot of their cars there too. Their other big plant is in Brazil.

@TrdScionxB2 of course it's nice it's a Fairlady! :sly: (I drive a 1986 300ZX)

And welcome to the thread! I've only posted one regular 370Z here, though, because I thought it was just a great image to share (even if my photo was rather poor resolution/it was dark out and I have a $150 digi...) Otherwise, only Z32, Z31, S30, or NISMO (yes I've seen 3 NISMO 370Z's, red, white, and black, liked white the best.)

I spotted a NISMO last year. Pretty neat car.

Noo.... The M sport models are made by BMW's GmBH (correct me if I'm wrong) and the S and the RS (and the R8) are made by Audi's GmBH (not actually made 100% but that is the factory. There's no special German trickery between the two plants.) All the A and Q models are made at Ingolstadt...

M models are engineered by M GmbH (a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW AG). RS models are engineered by quattro GmbH (a wholly owned subsidiary of Audi AG). Though many of the respective M and RS models are built at a separate facility due to the specialized nature of those cars, in the end, all those production plants are still owned by their respective parent company in the end.

There is also the M135xiDrive, M3 (dead), M4 (would be like an RS5 now in between the RS6) and the M5 (either an RS6 or the RS7)... It's more than just that really but you can see the generalization...

M3 is not dead. M3 is now sedan only while M4 is the coupe. M3 competes with the S4, M4 competes with the S5, M5 competes with the S6 and M6 Gran Coupe competes with the S7 (or, for all, the RS equivalent).

Hmmmm.... Then why is it that the GmBH plants make the S and RS models, while the standard Audi plants make the A and Q models?

quattro GmbH makes the RS models in a separate facility, and that's probably only because the RS models are different enough that it doesn't make sense for those to be sent down the same production line as other A and S models.

Either way, quattro GmbH is still a wholly owned subsidiary of Audi AG. The difference is that GmbH is not traded publicly, which makes sense, since it's all owned by Audi AG.

Are all of the plants in Germany? I don't know much about Audi but, for BMW, I'm pretty sure the overseas non M cars are all made outside of Germany. Aside from their top models, M series, which I believe are all still produced in Munich. My fathers E46 was produced in Germany.

Germany still builds the majority of BMW cars, even those going overseas. Most M cars are built in Germany, except for the Z3 based (M Coupe and M Roadster), the Z4M and the X5M and X6M, which were all built in Spartanburg, South Carolina, though the engines came from Germany.

I would be rather surprised is BMW made the 3/5 series outside of Germany, considering my bottom of the line Mercedes was made in Germany.

The 3 and 5 Series is produced in China for the Chinese market under joint venture and in India for the Indian market as well as in South Africa; however most of the 3 and 5 series are produced in Germany, and I think virtually all the 3 and 5 Series that comes to the US is built in Germany.

Well, this turd of a picture is a Cadillac ESC with the 32V Northstar V8 that made 295 hp to... The front wheels.
First time I've ever seen an ESC.

I own a deville with the same engine. Nice ride and makes a good noise when you stomp it. However, there's not much sportiness to an aircraft carrier...

I don't think it is. All power wagons I've seen have the rear wheels on an exterior well, but all I see is a small fender (could be it, could not). But the bed has indentions for all wagons I've seen, but I can't make it out (could be there, could not..) and the cab looks too angled off on the back and front. Reminds me of an older Chevy with its front slope. If the stop sign and pole weren't there it would be easier...

Power Wagons had rear fenders.

Same thing as @Zyla. Only 1000 of these Minis exist, so of course I had to pull over and get some pictures with it.

That makes 4 of these cars in Utah (that I've seen) 2 without stripes, 2 with stripes.

Mine's the one on the right with the numberplate and crappy snow wheels.
