Haha everyone in this tread has sucked identifying cars lately. An obscure mid-60s Chrysler I can understand, but a '10-onwards Camaro? Come on, I knew what it was just looking at the wheels. A viper

This thread has been epic for the last two pages
It was pretty obvious to me. I don't know what they were thinking...

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to older cars I only know the famous ones.

The resemblance is uncanny.

The red car you posted was an SVT Cobra, pretty much just a high performance Mustang. The red car in the third picture that caused so much of a stir is a Camaro.

Yeah, I knew about the Camaro, I see it every day. It's a 2010 SS. The owner works at the mechanic shop where most of my pictures are located.

So, basically it's an incredibly souped up Mustang? I always thought Cobras and Mustangs were very different.

But if they're so similar, I may start a racing club based on these kinds of cars.

@Dagger311, take a trip on wikipedia and look through all the car models you know. Wikipedia usually has pictures for every generation of a particular model, and in the case of the Mustang, has a separate page for each generation.

When you're not sure what a car is, look up some of your guesses on wikipedia, as if you did here it might have saved you a lot of trouble. Some of the cars you're mislabelling are pretty well known icons of the automotive world. Don't take it as a put down, I just know I would want to be able to identify these cars, especially on a forum so infatuated with them.

I don't normally say cars that I can't get a picture of, but I'm making exception here, because this irritated me. I missed 5 great cars all at once just about and at the same intersection. Of course, since I have no pictures; as far as you guys know, this never happened, but I'm still going to list them.

I arrived at the intersection that I usually take a left turn at to go home and I immediately saw a black SW20 Toyota MR2 pass by, then following it was a BMW M3 e46 Cabrio in silver, shortly after that was a BMW 1M Coupe in white and then I noticed a blue 991 Porsche 911 across from me and I went to grab my phone for pictures and it was off. So, I had to turn it on and it took a bit to turn on. Finally, the last car I notice to the lane next to me was a Tesla Model S. I was about to take pictures of both cars and then the light decided to turn green and I had to go or else I would just be holding up the traffic behind me. That annoyed me quite a bit.

Anyway, I'm sorry for doing this, but this is something that I just had to share.

I really hate that. I've missed a few pretty nice cars because my phone was dead, off, or I didn't have it.

Completely understandable. 👍 I've always thought it was pretty much ok to post about a car you seen without proof as long as you only did it rarely and had a good story. One time I seen a Rolls-Royce Ghost (my one and only wild Rolls spot, and one and only modern Rolls period) and had no chance to get a picture, but I posted on here anyway. Same when I saw a guy in a Ferrari 458 Spider...in 30 degree weather...with the top down... I usually only do that when it is something really rare or exotic.

*Sorry if any of this post doesn't make any sense, I'm in bed and extremely tired.

Wow, I've seen rolls royces on the highway a couple times, but it's been a while since I seen any type of Ferrari.

There was just confusion about which car we're talking about. We all know the red car is a 1994 SVT Cobra...I was confused and was talking about the [Camaro] because it doesn't look like a Camaro from the angle taken.

I see supercars on a weekly basis, hell, besides that Aston Martin, I saw a Quattroporte, a 458 Italia and a California during that trip. Luckily I get to see enough sitting at intersections to be able to post here semi-regularly.

This argument reminds me of the @Dagger311 Corvette vs. Cavalier ID!

Anyways, if you remember from a while back, I posted stuff from Hong Kong. Thing is that it's incomplete. I have LOADS of shots I saved! The problem was school stuffs and laziness combined. :P

So without further ado...

Well, if we're allowed to do it rarely, who wants to hear the story of the GTO? Not sure on it's year, but it was old, and a coupe.

So anyway, about two years ago (I didn't even have anything to take pictures with back then), Mom, my brother, and my cousin stopped for gas at the race trac off of Austell Road. I looked around (I still car spotted, I just didn't take pictures), and didn't see anything of value, so I went in, paid for the gas, picked up some sodas, and went on my way.

As I was walking out the door, at the pump ahead and to the right of Mom, there was a pale blue, probably mid to late 60's (No clue, just a guess) Pontiac GTO. It had broken down, and they were checking under the hood. I sneaked a quick peak and diagnosed it as "Way too old and dirty." The engine was covered in probably a foot of dust and other assorted grime.

So there you go, I'll probably never see it again, but it's my second favorite spot.
