Love the old RWD Corolla! But then, I come from the land of ice and snow... and salt... so survivors like that are extremely rare here. And I very much do not like whatever the hell has been done to that 2nd Mustang fastback. To each his own, I guess, not my car.
And, my carspotting-supportive boss today sent me on a mission when he told me about a shop that works on Ferraris that was nearby... lunch break, here I come! Turned out to be some guy named Ferrari with a bunch of seriously crappy cars for sale... but saw something through a fence on the way over there, checked it out on the way back... and one thing leads to another... I really like ghetto spotting! Yeah, my lunch break was over an hour, and I hadn't even eaten by the time I got back! lol
first, just rounding the block from the not-Ferrari place, a face on a wall giving me serious dejavu... have I posted this before a couple-few years back? unlikely, but the old Fiero that was visible in the drive would've made me stop before I'm sure, though don't know why I would've ever gone around that block before...
then, before I got back to the spot where I saw some rusty gold through a fence... 1975 Cutlass looking real good, and no dubs!
then another block up the road, freaking beautiful beetle!
got the the fenced lot, but it was well mended and tight, so no slipping through... from this side at least. So around the block I went. Before I could get to the other side of the fence, 1975 Impala 400
which was parked in front of a bodyshop, peeking in I spied some very interesting bodyshapes! and the owner Izzy let me take photos! Fairlady in back
Suzuki Cultus racecar!!!
Mazda Capella/RX-2!!!!
and a Monte Carlo from some year... a couple other things, but I left it at that
continuing on... found a way to squeeze through a gate climbing up over the lock! Camaro, year?
lovely old I-don't-know-what truck
lovely pair of badges
on a pair of Impalas... years?
didn't get to finish my lunch break just yet... had spied something around the corner from the body shop... some sort of Kaiser!
nope, didn't get to go back to work just yet, getting back to the main road spotted something else... and this time, here come the dubs... Chevelle, year? and block size?
and yet another distraction... 1970 Chevelle small block
finally got back to work, then on the way home stopped by my mechanic's to see about my still leaking radiator, he recommends we change the hose going into the top... but across the street (again dejavu, maybe I've been here before...) Cutlass? Monte Carlo?
Cougar! year?
and a Maverick and I think a facelift Fox body...
almost home... but wait! First ghetto-spot in-the-hood C7!
