Omnis, if you're friends with the driver of that then you'd better buy a gun and a padlock.

No worries. It's not drug money. He makes custom controllers for people with too much money. Basketball players, etc. I was gonna ask him how business was with the next generation systems, and he brought me outside to see his car.

BX16 TXi Auto. Only one left in the UK apparently (the plate check says it's a TXS Auto, of which there are 5 left on the road).

V70 R AWD! The model year and engine size suggests it's a phase 2 (i.e. a very limited production run).

And a G63 AMG, which are really rare

FTFY. :P

Caught my neighbor out in his Z06 again. For those of you who aren't in the private Car Spotting chat, he's been modifying it. First he put some godawful (IMO, but some people like them) wheels on it. Today I was driving past and saw him opening god damn scissor doors on it in his garage. If I ever get a pic of it with the doors open I'll post it in the questionable modifications thread, but for now, there's this. Also, there's a Jake sticker on the back window like what @ND4SPD has on his C6.

Model T or A? I can never get it right with these.

Model T, judging by the flimsy fenders, squared-off cab, and wooden wheels.

The A had noticeably wider steel wire wheels, and the spare wouldn't have been just rim and tire that bolts onto a wheel. The fenders of the A were also more integrated with the body. This bodystyle T is comparable to the A Tudor or Fordor which was nicely rounded-off around the top.

Source: my dad owns an A (in pieces), my father-in-law owns a T (a driver).

Slightly unmolested.....
It's a MY1990 2+2 non turbo with a '94 -up turbo wing on it.
Still a nice spot :)

The reg check had it down as a '97 model. And I believe it's a recent JDM import since it was registered a few months ago. Though it's by far the closest to a stock example I've seen in a long time.

This is really off-topic, but I'd like to share it.

Around 11:00am today, I was at the intersection of Redwood Road and 7800 S heading back to school, when I saw this:

pqN0Xym.jpg

Now, that's not the off-topic part. That's the Z06 that turned left and unleashed its wicked race exhaust as he flew past me. I mean, it was loud and beautiful.

What I'm getting at is, where you see the Corvette sitting is Redwood Road, and he's facing south. Facing me on the other side of Redwood road was a green Z32 300ZX, who turned left onto Redwood and headed north.

He comes out of the turn and guns it just before clearing it, and I hear screeching from what I perceive to be a legit powerslide around a cleared-out street corner. Then it all went wrong. The screeching gets louder, and I notice the 300ZX is swinging the rearend out way too far, and he was. He overcorrects, and the backend whips leftward, and makes him try to correct again. He overcorrects another time, and smacks into the raised concrete median with his front left tire and the car lifts into the air, and now the car is straddling it. The car comes back off of the median, and shoots across all three lanes while still trying to gain control. It happened so fast I didn't react until it was over. The traffic behind him stopped, but kept going after he picked back up and continued on, probably embarrassed out of his mind, and pissed about damaging his car. I felt bad for him, but I kinda thought it was a douchey thing to do, even if drifting is badass. I know these kinds of incidents are funny on YouTube, but in real life, it's actually pretty shocking to see. I was a little bit scared for the guy after I saw him hit the median. Be safe out there guys.

Sorry about these absolute potato pics. I must have touched my lens without realizing it.

My mistake :banghead: I didn't even notice it was a JDM model :dunce:
It's a unmolested Z32
Reason I said it was '90 cause I was thinking it was a US/Euro, it has a Z emblem on it which was only on the '90MY but JDM had it for all years and then it had front fascia unpainted which was from '90-'94 but JDM had it from '90-'97.

Models built for export didn't come with the Fairlady Z branding on the rear AFAIK. So I assumed it was a JDM import before the reg details confirmed my suspicions. 👍

Excellent post, @Wiegert !

And, 164! And @Zyla's giving me flashbacks... it's always been my practice to push my car until it's past its limits when in a safe environment, so if something goes wrong I know what it feels like. And yeah, one day pushing it on the bendy bits near home with heavy snow on the road at 40mph I had a very similar experience, though after 3 swish/swish/swish oversteer and over corrects I was safely thought. Very memorable, and know I know what it feels like. Nobody around, of course, late at night.

And, I had one of them Tercels, my 3rd car, 1st manual. Pretty nippy.

So, I was like, ooo! A C5 with some sort of badge! What does it say, I can't remember... feel free to help if you know. But then as I was editing the photo noticed, finally, the MUCH more interesting XR-7 behind it! Yay!
