This is really off-topic, but I'd like to share it.
Around 11:00am today, I was at the intersection of Redwood Road and 7800 S heading back to school, when I saw this:
Now, that's not the off-topic part. That's the Z06 that turned left and unleashed its wicked race exhaust as he flew past me. I mean, it was loud and beautiful.
What I'm getting at is, where you see the Corvette sitting is Redwood Road, and he's facing south. Facing me on the other side of Redwood road was a green Z32 300ZX, who turned left onto Redwood and headed north.
He comes out of the turn and guns it just before clearing it, and I hear screeching from what I perceive to be a legit powerslide around a cleared-out street corner. Then it all went wrong. The screeching gets louder, and I notice the 300ZX is swinging the rearend out way too far, and he was. He overcorrects, and the backend whips leftward, and makes him try to correct again. He overcorrects another time, and smacks into the raised concrete median with his front left tire and the car lifts into the air, and now the car is straddling it. The car comes back off of the median, and shoots across all three lanes while still trying to gain control. It happened so fast I didn't react until it was over. The traffic behind him stopped, but kept going after he picked back up and continued on, probably embarrassed out of his mind, and pissed about damaging his car. I felt bad for him, but I kinda thought it was a douchey thing to do, even if drifting is badass. I know these kinds of incidents are funny on YouTube, but in real life, it's actually pretty shocking to see. I was a little bit scared for the guy after I saw him hit the median. Be safe out there guys.
