That Alfa 8C, gotta love Platinum MotorCars. He also owns the GT2RS and the LFA there I think.
They might bring some cars to Lingenfelter's cars and coffee on the 4th.

So, rain yesterday, rain tomorrow, had the day off today, no rain, but only in the 60's. I decide to get off the beaten path, and drive some roads I've never driven and hit some spots I rarely check out. Holy wowsa of a spotting day for me! I like to keep posts short here usually, but I think in this case in order to convey the complete awesomeness of today I'll have to be a little long-winded here. In chronological order.

So, basic plan was to check like 15 golf course parking lots. Would give me a route, and who know what I might find in between, and would end me up in north Akron, which I've only spotted once. Here we go.

Actually, before that, I stopped in at my mechanic's this morning to change out my belts, which were getting a bit chirpy from age, and across the street at the scrappers, oh no! Don't scrap the Mustang, I mean I know it's a Ford, but still!

Then on to the route. 1st golf course, local but I've only stopped in a few times to see what's there, 1st time this year, hey, a GranCabrio!
maserati grancabrio.jpg

A fancy mall, nothing, a fancy golf course, some nice roads, nothing. Looks like today is going to be a bust. Ah! GranTurismo! But the photo is a potato, rats! Several more golf courses, nothing. But on my way to the next set of courses, at a repair shop that I don't really pass by often any more, though I did regularly a few years ago and never really spotted anything, holy mother, a MINT 510 wagon! I've never seen a 510 in Ohio before, let alone in this pristine shape! All of a sudden I'm 100% re-energized!

So, on to the next batch of golf courses! Bleh, nothing. Get a little turned around trying to get from one to another of the last couple in this area and drive a cut-through street I hadn't intended to... and spot some thing interesting up a drive! Turn around, pull in, knock on the door... Nice young lady answers, sure you can take some photos of my 1980 AMC Spirit AMX!

Okay, today is already a total success! I suggest she checks out my Flickr in a couple days to see how crazy some of my followers are going to go over this car, she opens the garage to get something to write on, and there's her dad's Javelin AMX! With a 1961 Rambler hiding behind!

Whew! Continue up the road, nice Supra!

Hit up another few golf courses, still nothing, continuing to the next, well south of Cleveland now, new-to-the area Cali T!

Another few golf courses, nothing there, but looking good, I've found a nice area to spot in the future, if a bit far from home. Do find a nice 442 at one of them.

Nice thing about down south here where I am today, it's close to a fancy yet rural restaurant where I've spotted some awesome stuff regularly before, so I head up that way, and lo and behold, something pulls out ahead of me! I catch up but there's a car between, rats! Fortunately, it pulls into the restaurant I was heading for, new-to-the-area 458! and new Cali already there in the background!

Circling up a bit further and then back down... I spotted a house with like a 15 car garage and 15,000+ sqaare feet of house as well, I think that'll be a nice place to cruise by in the future, lol, don't spot much but a nice Chevy,

and a pretty sad 280zx for sale.
datsun 280zx 1982 for sale.jpg

I circle back to the main business drag around there in north Akron, and, wtf?!? Huracan!!!
lamborghini huracan on adv1 wheels.jpg

I head back up to my usual haunts for the end of the night, east side of Cleveland then downtown, not much new to me that catches my interest, but an F12 I've never seen before makes an appearance!
ferrari f12 later.jpg

Cruising through downtown I spot the blue Phantom I spotted last week, so I ignore it and continue to circle through. Circling back the lights are on and the owner is getting in... into suicide doors. Wait a minute, that's not the Phantom I spotted last week! That's a ... that's a ... Coupe!! Arrrggghhhhh!!!!!!! Why didn't I get a photo when I could have when I passed by the first time!?!? Frustrating end, but wow, really can't complain about the great diversity of awesome cars and so many new-to-the-are exotics spotted today. Really only a few days a year are this good, so very, very happy with my long drive-about today! :)

It's so rare that I see anything interesting.
I've been collecting these for about a month.

An old Porsche Carrera. (Not sure what year)

A Mazda Miata MX-5. The owner of this one also races it at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Under the tarp, he has a roll cage, bucket racing seats, and a removable steering wheel. If I see it without the tarp on again, I'll post it.

Edit: I JUST noticed the there's a NISMO sticker on that red Nissan pickup in the second picture.

Headed to the MoMa. That place in NYC that calls blank canvases art. They hung a Ferrari 641 F1 race car on the wall, and there's an old Jag E-type. Nice to see them consider car design as an art form, because it very much is.

Alright, alright, I'll post something so you don't have to double post... Yes, did spot in some fair weather yesterday and today!

Still sporting a semi over Jus's Japan spots, omagerd!!! And, don't race track event and museum spots go in the other thread? But enough about that, on to my recents:

dang my current pocket digi take nice night shots! yes, this is well after dark, the glow is Cleveland. But I seriously need a better pocket digi for action shots, this one always focuses on the background! and even when it does focus on the car, it's too good at eliminating blur, so there's no wheelspin or sense of motion... anyways, just an M6, but I like this photo!
