Prefectural dump from Tottori

Honda Civic Type-R in Championship White (what else?) spotted in the sleepy town of Aoya. This guy loved Honda, as evidenced by the N-WGN and an out-of-shot Odyssey project car.

Suzuki Alto Works Sports Limited sans pixelation at a Daihatsu dealership in Kobama.

Suzuki Cappucino at the same dealership earlier. The shopkeepers were very amused that I asked to take a picture of the car, but I could not leave without snapping my all-time favorite. Parked alongside the Alto, this was straight out of Sunday Cup!

Renaultsport Lutecia. Foreign cars are largely reserved for large cities, so this was a relief to see in a small town like Kurayoshi (and sure enough, judging by the plate, it was a tourist from the much larger Okayama City).

Austin FX4 working as a shuttle for a local ryokan in famous Misasa Onsen.

There are tons of custom, old Jimny microtrucks around (and not the only one I spotted in Kurayoshi Old Town, curiously), but this one was my favorite.

Tokyo
Near JR Shinjuku, and my only Tokyo shot, the Duesen Bayern Mystar: a Z3-based Mercedes 190SL replica in the spirit of Mitsuoka and others who have gone before it. Even the number plate says 190!
This was actually really convincing until you got close and could see the slightly off proportions, the Z3 roofline and interior. I still love it! There are a lot of Luxury Cars™ in Tokyo, so you learn to appreciate the offbeat spots.

little story to go with this... making a pickup in the company truck today going up I 65 a transport truck catches my attention from about a mile back... while approaching (behaving since the truck is GPS monitored) I kept thinking ... what is that red thing... could it be??? no it couldnt be... or could it...
next thing I know the GPS is chirping like a bank alarm... but I got close enough for this...

after being asked why the computer alert messaged him... I showed him the picture... he dismissed the write up...(I work at a parts house)

Holy **** great spot! I'm pretty sure the Delta wasn't imported here, though I suspect quite a few are making their way over now, though I've never seen one. PS I work for a parts place, too (though I'm a manager now not a driver) and yeah that GPS can be a bitch when you spot something you really want to catch up to!

a few made it to canada... I tried to buy one off ebay a few years back but there was too much red tape with it at the time... now on the other hand...
might be time to look again... or maybe Pulsar GTi-R

Went on possibly the best drive of my life today, over an hour southeast to Ohio's Appalachian foothills, Ohio State Route 164. Holy moly! 55mph most of the way but be careful of the blind crests if you think you can do 60mph! I've run some twisty roads, and some hilly roads, but I don't think ever such a combination of ups and downs and corners! It even had an honest to god Laguna Seca corkscrew! But I digress. A couple of in-passing photos on the way came out rather nice, I think.

this is a good one to go to my Flickr and zoom in, very sharp! Old roadside motel on dis-used US 30.

Viper GTC! What's a GTC you ask? Good question! With sales lagging, Chrysler opened up the Viper to full customization. Take the Viper GT, with all the performance but a less luxury than the GTS, andd your customization, and you have the GTC!

So, I was cruising around way down south, in north Canton, and after much nothing, I started to notice big houses and Mercedes, then from a ways away I spot this early Viper. Curious, I turn up the road he's on. Soon after I notice a fancy vinyard with a full parking lot. I investigate, and discover the Viper meetup above!

Oh, right, "As long as this page is getting destroyed with massive dumps"? Your dump was certainly the most massive, and there were a couple other water-breakers besides, so I decided to drop a big load, too. But yeah holy cow what an event that must've been if that was the parking lot!

I see so many interesting cars at work that it's ridiculous. I NEVER get a chance to snag a photo because I have to keep moving. Just a dump from old photos:

NSX

The owner was actually pretty cool about letting me snap this beaut. Beige interior, low miles. All original.

Mercury Marauder (yes. One of them)

Snagged this one today while I was in a cart corral.

My neighbor's first one. He's currently kitting up a second one (1986 Trans Am) for weekend use.

I think this is an S10.

Yeah, I just posted the event pics.
