So not only am I having a wonderful day at Manhattan looking around at stores with my sister and seeing lots of Porsches but when we were getting ready to leave NYC and before we past Central Park, my car sight seeing experience just got ridiculously interesting.
image.jpeg

Jesus Christ its a Ferrari F40! Not your everyday corvette or an occasional Lotus Elise, A F40!!!!!! On my last post on this thread, I saw a Countauch but it was a kit car which kinda ruined a bit of the excitement. But this is way better. I think since there seems to be some kind of Ferrari meeting in the background with a couple of rich people and also by looking at the car, this could be a real F40, not a kit car.

I bet if I was living in New York instead of Massachusetts, I probably would of already seen a Koenisegg Regera by now. Jk XD

If you've ever wondered what stumbling into a crashed meteor containing diamonds was like:

sWdpmRil.jpg

I caught this Nissan Skyline R34 cruising down Highway 50 while I was on my way to GameStop. Last time I've read up on my import laws for cars in the US, that car in particular is definitely not allowed here. He had a Florida state tag, too, so he's around my area somewhere.

This blue one is Michigan registered and has a Michigan plate so some got through

Wow! Those are the next generation 911s!
Wow, I didn't know that. Could they perhaps be Porsche test drivers? All of the cars had Georgia plates. A couple of them weren't exactly thrilled to have their pictures taken, but one was.

Saw a late 00's Subaru Impreza WRX STi and a late 80's-early 90's BMW 525i.
Also spotted a cream yellow Lincoln Continental Mark VI while going over the freeway via a bridge and a pristine, 1992 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo in red, but no pictures of the last two.

GTPers! I am sure there are so many new members on this Thread of Legends since I last checked in here umpteen years ago. I used to frequent the DYSAGT thread many years ago with my shots from around Hong Kong where I made my home, coming from the UK. Some of you may remember my posts from Your Man in Hong Kong.

With the recent release of a new GT game, I had a pang of fondness for those days and wanted to contribute once again to this little corner of the internet, with so many like-minded petrolheads. In the time since my last contribution, myself and a friend set up a photography company 'Black Cygnus Photography' and one of the things our little team does is snap cars that are out and about on Morning Drives in the early ours of the weekends. These images (shot by our four man sniper team) don't really get seen outside of the local car community here, so I thought it was about time I shared them with the wider world, knowing that you are are car-nnoisseurs of the highest order!

I hope you will excuse the watermarks ... We always add them for posting these images on Facebook. Anyway, good to be back, and without further onto the images. I gave each pic a little description, but the new-fangled GTP I am not familiar with. I hope you can read them!

(All shot last Sunday AM)

Lotus Exige
Stormtrooper's daily driver.

Porsche GT3 RS 4.0
Look up 'Perfection' in the dictionary. There's probably a pic of this.

Aston Martin Zagato
Only one in HK and gets very well used, you'll be pleased to hear.

Evangelion Replica
Not a car, but I'm positive there are more than a few Evangelion fans on GTP - this one's for you!

Lamborghini Huracan Spyder
Noice!

Honda Civic Type-R and Mugen RR
The policeman's favourite in Hong Kong. If you drive one of these expect to be stopped at most if not all road blocks. Revs and tickets for days!

Ferrari 488 Spider
These have become pretty popular since release. Some serious trick aero on them to admire if they stay still long enough.

Bentley Continental GT
You don't often see these being driven hard, so I thought I had to include it here.

Honda Accord Euro R
Favourite with the road racers in HK

Lotus Exige S1
There's so much right with these. Prices are heading North quick.

Peugeot 205 GTi
Definitive hot hatch?

Toyota Trueno Apex AE86
This car is why we are on GTP, right? Solid gold icon.

Toyota Trueno Apex AE86
Another one? Why not ... Actually, there are so many of these in HK now.

Porsche Speedster / Chesil Roadster
Is it? Isn't it? As confident as I am in identifying most Porsche variants, I can never quite tell with these. Chances are it's a Chesil, but in Hong Kong anything can happen ... Looks gorgeous either way!

Suzuki Alto Works
If any of you have been to Japan (and I highly recommend it), these little things are everywhere, but it's the first I have seen in Hong Kong. I think they are the mutt's nuts, but they will divide opinion. 660cc Turbo Nutter with the front end appeal of an old Escort Mexico - want!

Ferrari F430 Scuderia
Total weapon. There are loads of these in HK.

Mercedes SL
Always loved these, always meant to buy one, will probably miss the boat and regret it. Chump change luxury. What a car! There was a group of 4-6, but muggins here only managed this shot with 3.

Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS
See Scuderia description. Military grade missile.

Honda NSX
Sublime perfection.

Toyota Celica
This is so cool! Owned by a guy that runs a wrap business here and does some funky liveries.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III
This old warrior has seen better days, but the patina is part of the appeal.

Honda S2000 CR
I know there is a major S2K following on GTP, so this gets some airtime. Another cracking machine from Honda.

Alfa Romeo GTV
Nothing to say about Alfas that hasn't already been said. Timeless classic.

Mazda MX-5 (NA)
The NA continues to be popular. Maybe even more so than ever! Smiles per hour, as proved by this friendly fella at the wheel!

The legend @Rue is back! Was super stoked to see your name. Just remember the crazy spots you used to post up.

Cheers brother! Hahaha a warm welcome back :)

I added the descriptions in as you couldn't originally see them without clicking the pics.

Cool spot on the 914! I think I have only ever seen like two in my life on the road.

Last Sunday, Hong Kong was hit by another Typhoon (the third in a few weeks) and whilst this one didn't quite strike with the impact of the last, we still had a tree almost land on our parked up car and had to avoid some low flying branches. The weather didn't deter some of die hard Sunday Morning Drivers, but the turnout was a lot less than on a Sunday with less inclement weather conditions. Once again, I will attempt to add some narrative, no matter how flippant to each of the images.

Sunday morning is usually full of Lotus Elise/Exiges but perhaps the wind and slippery surfaces put off the usual crowd. This was the only one from memory, here seen in tandem with some much larger predators (458 Speciale and Imperial Star Destroyer spec 991 GT3 RS), but still keeping good pace.

As I have said before, we love the NA and never tire of seeing them. Hope his roof is watertight - unlike my old one!

You can't buy class. Well, you can, but these days you unfortunately need a lot more money than you did a few years ago.

French cars have never had the massive success of Japanese and German cars in HK, but Renault's performance hatches have become very popular in recent years.

GIfkEnD.jpg

The E46 has reached neo-classic status and there are a fair few on the roads. This black one was one of four very nicely turned out M3s on Sunday.

7GtlcSw.jpg

More proof of the Renault popularity swing.

Marmite FF. Personally like them. A brisk ride in one helped make my mind up!

k4izX5r.jpg

Two ways to skin a cat.

zuCTvVe.jpg

If you don't find Japanese Kei cars adorable, you have to be dead inside. Autozam AZ-1 ticks all the K-car and mini F40 fetish boxes ...

PIw7af2.jpg

Ahhh, those days when the words Mitsubishi and Subaru conjured up images of flaming exhausts in cold Welsh forests. Alas ...

1hPWUAQ.jpg

Underlining the above

Z8ILph3.jpg

These have been known to divide opinion. Looks pretty epic cutting through the driving rain.

MM6Fps8.jpg

Little on the roads sound quite like the big capacity AMG cars at full chat. Fire and brimstone.

s0T7ya7.jpg

Laguna Seca and resting on white Rays TE37s. Yes, please.

JPEf7XK.jpg

A very good clone of the legendary CSL on BBS LMs. Again, yes please.

hr7lk7L.jpg

Soooooo popular in HK. If you haven't visited I think you would be surprised just how many of there FD2 Civics there are on the roads here.

YNszfXC.jpg

Seeing more and more EF Civics around these days. Which is nice!

jj0fAlS.jpg

I love this! Like something out of GTAV.

NunNqi5.jpg

Same guy that owns the TA22 Celica in the previous long post. Really like this.

Z5lY0Zt.jpg

Another neo-classic rally weapon.

tiXk3mG.jpg

The UK didn't get many of these, but there are a bunch of them here. Not really trying to rub it in.

Y2ZF0O2.jpg

A friend's immaculate LS400. Future classic for sure.

8BhA90Q.jpg

More angles than a Ronnie O'Sullivan snooker escape.

Holy crap, I haven't seen @Rue around here in a long time. Welcome back and always glad to see your snaps!

@Rue I'm jealous of these spots, meanwhile all the cars enthusiast over here are just obsessed with american muscle cars and some Nissan's or Supra's. :indiff:

Did i mention the photos you took tho?

@Crash Thanks brother! Good to be back :)

@ToyGTone Thank you mate! I have a friend selling a Z31 Turbo much like that at the moment but it’s not likely to pass First Registration refs. Such a shame. What’s the story on the Lexus with the different colour panels?

The lexus happened to be some sort of "advertisements" for a food delivery mobile app where you could order from "all sort" of different restaurants and get it delivered home. I was surprised to see this new LC500, let alone being used for something like that.

Again, sorry for the blur but here's a Dodge Viper ACR.
