C'mon Serge, you should know by now that not all BMW's with M3 badges are actually M3's, just as not all Audi's with S badges are actually Audi S-cars. ;)

BTW for reference here's an actual M3 Cabrio

Again a fake M3. :grumpy:

And then this, the Alfa Romeo Competizione, which I believe just made my spot of all time. This is probably my favourite looking car of all time and I got to see it, in person, a few miles from my house and a cold and windy Michigan November day. My day went from being quite crappy to epically awesome with this spot. I do feel sort of bad this guy is at a house though.

AWESOME SPOT!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the first five or six in the USA. Did you know it was there or just get lucky???

Got lucky, I was coming down the road when I saw it in the rear view. He passed me and I followed him into the neighbourhood. I'm going to be on the look out for it again though. I wonder where he bought it at though, we haven't had Alfa dealers in what, 25 years? Or are they being sold through Ferrari dealers?

Alfa's last US year was 1995. They're being sold through exotic car dealers, but not necessarily Ferrari. Alfa is still mulling over their dealer network and not sure the best way to bring the brand back. They don't necessarily want to do Ferrari dealers because there are so few of them and they want to go national. For right now the deal on Alfa is probably you call your Ferrari dealer (or your high-end imports dealer) and place an order, and he figures out how to get it done.

Wow, amazing spot Joey. Didnt expect the car to show up in this thread so soon considering jim and few others just got theirs last week or so.

+1

When I saw it got spotted I figured it'd be Jim Glickenhaus's - I'm rather surprised to see it in Michigan, though I think I have a pretty good idea about whose it is there too!

Dont want to sound like a stalker but care to enlighten us?

Could it belong to the legendary "sultan of michigan"?

Is that a house or a Golf Club?!

Thats what "new money" buys you in suburban Michigan. We've only got one or two neighborhoods nearby that can rival that (the DeVos & VanAndels have the money here)... Sadly, no 8Cs however.

I'm dying to see something exotic, the weather is killing me and my car spotting. I must not be hanging out in EGR or Forest Hills enough anymore... To think my "spots" these days are when I see Celicas like mine!

Rue
ALFA 8C!!! Phantom Coupe!!!

Amazing spots both!!! 👍 👍 👍
+1. 👍
Great spot on the 8C Joey, and also a nice spot on the Phantom Coupe zonderf. (not sure if its the first, could be the same one Doug spotted a few weeks ago.....)

Not much from me today, just spotted a SLK 200 and a modified Audi RS4 from my way back from the Mosque. Wish I had a camera....... :indiff:

The one Joey saw more than likely came from Greenwich's Miller Motorcars, which have recieved the first 3 8Cs in the US. As Doug noted, Jim's was also one of these 3.

Terrific spot.

yeah too bad the owner (supposedly rapper Young Jeezy) took off the awesome black rims and put these blue ones on it instead

Hahaha Jeezys' car?? Anyone whose listened to his new album and the track "My President" will recognise the car from the lyrics "My President is black, my lambos blue, and i'll be god damned if the rims ain't too" haha thats awesome, us NZ folk never get to see famous peoples cars like this, im somewhat jealous!

First off thanks for all the comments 👍!

A house, the neighbourhood was full of homes like that. Actually the four or five surrounding neighbourhood's near my house have homes similar to that. It's not really that uncommon to have homes like that. I've posted pictures of my house before which is big enough but compared to pretty much everything else in the area it's tiny.

I still don't understand how people still have money to afford houses like this, I mean back in the Big Three's hay day it was common to see people with houses like that popping up everywhere.

I'm a little curious myself, Doug you could PM us if you don't want to throw names around the internet.

Ah, the Sultan of Michigan, I've seen both his Bugatti Veyron and Carerra GT around before on the road, with a bunch more at the Concours. Apparent the Sultan got a Reventon as well which I'm guessing is the same one that appeared at the Concours as well since the little sign in front of it in pictures is the same one that was in front of the car at the show.

If you want to see pictures of this dude's collection look at this:

Apparently Roger Penseke has a nice collection of cars too he drives around, I guess it's rumoured he has a Veyron that he takes out when the weather's nice. I don't know though, I've never seen it.

===

I'd post this on Ferrari Chat asking about it, but I do feel bad it was in front of a house, although I have no idea if it was that guy's house or not. I made sure no house numbers, street signs or plate numbers were visible as not to give it away but still.

He either lives there or he was just visiting, but with it being on Michigan plates I expect the car to be driven around once the weather gets warmer...which is in about six months .

That's a hell of a collection 👍 - Although, for every point he gets for having an exotic or rare matching numbers muscle car, he has 10 deducted for owning one of those horrendous modern-vette-with-vintage-vette-styling abominations. 👎
