Mine from today.

DSCI0074.jpg

Golden Eagle Jeep

DSCI0058.jpg

Bullit Stang. It had all the badging, the sound note and everything. I thought they were only made in green though.

DSCI0090.jpg

TR7

DSCI0091.jpg

First Buell I've seen.

DSCI0092.jpg

"I pitty the fool"

DSCI0094.jpg

Jag.

DSCI0095.jpg

DSCI0096.jpg

DSCI0097.jpg

68 (I think) Firebird.

DSCI0099.jpg

Shelby Daytona.

DSCI0093.jpg

70's Bronco (Ok, so its not exactly rare, but you dont see too many of them now)

DSCI0100.jpg

70's Ranger (same deal as the bronco)

That 2nd 430 Spyder was at the Ferrari Challenge. It has Scuderia stripes, too! :)

The 430 from yesterday with the black wheels is actually a different car from the one that was at the Challenge. We see this one pretty regularly and was actually in the article about Doug, it was the one he was kneeling down taking a picture of. It used to have the plate "430 F1" and challenge wheels but the owner changed it up a bit and it now has an Emory University tag and the black wheels.

Today was a bit strange because I actually saw the 430 Spyder with the Scuderia stripes that was at the Ferrari Challenge. It has the same wheels and is the same color as the one from yesterday, only difference being the stripes and brakes. First time I've seen this car on the road.

Oh, o.k. They both have exactly the same wheels, same red line and everything. Or are those aftermarket rims that come with the red line. I love that blue DB9 Volante! -kevin

Vauxhall Astra VXR, Chevy Cobalt SS, coupla Protons...

Thanks! 👍

After trudging through the endless pages of news for GT5, the Automotive forums were thankfully light on news for once. The summer, it seems, is looking better for me. Cases in point:

Aston Martin DBS

Finally seen on the road, and it wasn't even a test drive!

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante 2008

I may stop photographing these. They're getting a bit...common. Relatively speaking, of course.

Audi Q7 TDI

Had huge TDI text on the side; probably a promotional car. Does that make it a V8 or V12 TDI?

Audi R8

Another first for me! I still have trouble believing I had, until yesterday, never seen this car on the road. Sheesh. Took me long enough.

BMW M6 2007

I was waiting for someone in a parking lot and thought this made a neat image.

Campagna T-Rex

Tiny. Really tiny. A bike might total it. Too bad I couldn't stick around to see it go. The photo is blurry because I still can't get this thing to handle low light well.

Chevrolet Corvette 427/435 1967

I'm as skeptical as the next car stalker, so is there any way to tell that this isn't a 427/435? I Googled extensively to no avail.

Dodge Charger Daytona 1969 - Angrier
http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/6435/dodgechargerdaytona1969.th.jpg[/IMG]
I had posted this earlier, but had lousy photos. This should be better.

Ferrari 512TR

For a minute, I thought the 512TR was the rare one; then I saw the pop-up headlights. Eh. It's still a 512!

Ford Mustang 1971 convertible

I can not tell what Mustang this is. I initially thought it was a Mach 1, but there doesn't seem to be any record of a Mach 1 convertible. The Boss, on the other hand just doesn't visually match up. I'm guessing it's just a '71 convertible with Mach-1-style graphics.

Maserati Gran Turismo

I love the front and rear bumper on this. It almost looks organic.

Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG 2006

Seen not half an hour before seeing...

Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG 2006

...this. Both old-school twin-turbo V12's from Mercedes-Benz. You can really see the shared parts (beyond the obvious engine).

Mercury Coupe 1951

None of my photos of this did any justice to the deep, rich purple this was painted in. It seemed stock bar the fantastic exterior finish.

Plymouth Scamp 340 1971

Also purple, but not as cool, nor as nice to look at. But odd nonetheless.

Porsche 911 GT3 2009

I posted this quite a while ago, but seeing it there in the late May sun...who could resist?

Porsche 924 1987

Still looking for rarer pre-1999 non-911 Porsches. I see common 968's, 944's, and the occasional 924/928, but you'd never know there were limited runs on them.

Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI

You wait long enough for a bus to come around then suddenly two appear at once....

Wow, love that shot of Angier. Such a badass car.

All I got yesterday was this old New Yorker...

DSCI0006.jpg

This clean Eclipse (we dont get very many nice tuner cars in my town)

Also got a pic of an old Caddy, but photobucket wont let me upload the pic for some reason.

And the best spot I've had in a while... a Citroen DS convertible! These are rare as rocking-horse poo even in France, and I've never seen one in the UK until today. As I crossed the road in front of him I shouted "nice car" and gave a thumbs up, and got a "thanks" and a wave in return. As I walked through town he was just parking and already chatting to a bystander about it. Everyone was staring at it.

That's not too bad.

I'll try to grab a few shots of a really nice one as soon as I'm at my parents' place.

[edit]: Nevermind, it's already been spotted.

This is an extremely rare Chapron edition. Think 150,000 USD and up.

I had a friend call me and tell me Doug was featured in a magazine. I can't find it because I'm dumb. Someone link me please.

That DS is very nice, and even older than the one I saw too. Amazing cars.

Today I saw this:

03062009680.jpg

Aston Martin DB7 Zagato. Was on my way to work and at a distance it looked like a Bristol or something, which would have been interesting enough, but I recognised it as I got closer and pulled in behind to take a photo. Only one I got I'm afraid, I was in the car and in a rush! If I'd been walking I would have taken a good few. Maybe it'll be there again tomorrow.

The particular road I saw it on is pretty good for random appearances of flash cars but I always seem to be driving when they're about! Missed probably a dozen Ferraris for this reason.

Can someone id all these cars , except for the levin thing and the focus rs.. I have no idea what any of them are.

Sorry, I just a have a video off my phone for this one ..
:dunce:

Silver one in the first couple of photos is a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia cabrio. Or to be more specific a Karmann Ghia Type 141/2. The big brown thing looks like a Rover of some sort, maybe a P6? The silver Japanese car looks like a Toyota Levin, or maybe a Soarer. The muscle car is (I think) a Pontiac GTO - but any muscle car fans please feel free to correct me.

I've no idea what the vintage car is.

During a test drive at work today I passed a blue Lotus Esprit, a yellow Europa (old model), an orange Exige, a black Elise, and a orange Gallardo, all traveling together going the opposite direction on the highway.

It was awesome.
