Funny, when I post more often, I see more interesting things (in this forum). Neat how that works out. :sly:

Cadillac XLR-V

I don't think I've gotten an XLR-V before, so I had to cruise behind this guy to get the shot. Sometimes traffic lights are a good thing.

Ferrari 550 Maranello

My girlfriend cheerfully took this shot. She humours me in this hobby to the point where she actually participates. She's so cute!

Yugo Cabrio

At first, I thought this was simply an awful choice of color for an 80's VW Cabriolet. Then, as I got closer, I thought maybe there was an unpainted replacement bumper. Then I realized...it's just way too ugly to be German. Not only am I amazed that it exists, I'm amazed that it's still on the road.

Greenwich!!

Not only are those some excellent finds, but very well photographed as well! 👍

Do you have any info on this LP400?

It's in beautiful shape, and you got a great shot of it (in fact, if you wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to have a higher rez shot of that pic!) The LP400 remains my favorite Countach model. 👍

Speaking of great shots, your pic of that Z8 is simply gorgeous! All it needs is a photoshop removal of the parking meter and it would be poster perfect! 👍

... and always nice to see an F40, 288 GTO, and Miura SV out and about. 👍

Heres some from the last few days.

There's been a lot of posting from shows in the last few pages... not really in the spirit of the thread, that.

Anyway, for hypocritical value after I said I don't really post exotics in the thread about Doug:

Fairly sure it's owned by a footballer, given that the licence plate was very similar to the initials of a certain local club.

Greenwich!!

:: head asplodes::

Seriously, you've managed to cover pretty much all my favorite Italians in one post! Great photos of awesome cars invisible +rep. Couldn't care less if they were headed to a show or not, seeing cars like that in the wild is almost never going to happen anyways.

Awesome spot, I haven't seen one of those is ages and ages. Fun Yugo fact: It's the only car ever to get blown off the Mackinac bridge.

Thanks! You can find all these pics in a higher res on my Flickr page. Sorry I don't have any info on the Countach. :(

He did see them, regardless of where they were heading.
I do feel a little guilty that the cars were heading to a show, but whats the difference if I saw them 100 feet from the show entrance or a few miles away? Still technically in the wild. And like I said, a good portion of the spots were of cars that weren't even in the show at all. In fact I watched plenty of cars drive right past the show, including a Spyker C8 and Carrera GT. It is Greenwich after all. :D

That's kind of the same thing as camping out down the street from a dealership and taking pictures of the cars as they come and go...you know they are going to be there.

F40! First I've seen on the road!

Some ferrari I saw a while ago, forgot to upload it, my freinds staring at it haha , and thats an irish police car beside it
DSC00227.jpg

Looks suspiciously kit-carish to me. Just doesn't seem quite right in my eyes.

I'm fairly sure it's real. Convertibles can look strange with their roofs up. The wheels do look a bit on the narrow side though.

The wheels do look wrong - but they could just be aftermarket items. It's the black strip above the lights, which appears to be a lot bigger on Glanza's photo (although this could just be a trick of the light) and the positioning of the exhausts, which sit directly below the inner rear lights where as they normally sit further in.

Actually what got me thinking was the distance between the rear wheel and the back edge of the back bumper, it looks much longer in the suspect photo. However weird angles can certainly make cars look weird.

What gets me is the gap in the black meshy area under the lip spoiler seems a little too much on Glanza's photo. As said earlier those wheels looks way too small as well. My best guess is that it's an MR2 kit car. It just doesn't look right enough to be a real Ferrari.

^^^ Nice an R32. ;)

Btw, I doubt that's a real 355 either, it just dosen't look very proportional.

That last page had some pretty epic spots and nice photos too, nice spots everyone, especially that 288 and F40.

This one is over due, I keep seeing these damn things but always miss the picture. Snagged it yesterday though and it's massive tail lamps.

Theres a scoop?

American terminology for "story" ............ sorry.

Any more pics on this car or a story about it,why it's sitting,is it an abandoned car,a restoration project for someone ? Would like to know more about this particular car......please......thanks.

The dude has a bunch of old mopars. Two cars like the white one except they're coupes. I think he collects, restores and sells them. I'll go back in a few days and snag a few more pics for ya if his dogs aren't out

Although a pretty good take-off, Glanza's F355 Spider is definately a kit. It's too narrow for a start.
