From the past few days
69' Chevelle SS
Buick Rivera
DUDE!!! you REALLY NEED to get me BETTER pictures of these two, specially the Chevelle. Awesome stuff.
Heck, I'm so excited I'll post. Some very, VERY old pics, some very recent ones.
First, two days after I bought the S2 I started to practice pan shots and this blew by and was somewhat well captured.
Mexican 1980 Super Bee 360 with solid wheels and monochromatic paint, decent shape but heck, those wheels dont help it. Hed be better off with some Center Lines.
Very very old spot of a real-deal Levin with hidden headlamps, very rare here, Toyota came to Mexico about 7 years ago only. Have never seen another one since.
Oh yeah, another very old spot of a 1960 Cadillac in the parking lot of my university! You could say I was amazed to see this incredible car there. It was pretty damn perfect, the thing. A parent? One can only hope it was a cool fellow students car.
Some old abandoned Subaru or Toyota
if it is a Subaru, it would be even rarer, Subaru entered Mexico 5 years ago. Can anyone tell what it is?
Old spot and new spot: the top picture was taken about 6 years ago with a 1.3 MP Fuji Camera; about one year ago I found the exact same car in the exact same place and shot it again with the S2. Nice 70 Stang, 351, Wire Cragars
This is also a very old picture, taken the same day as the previous Mustang, a 1972 Charger 318, been there about ten years now and it is still in the same place.
Fully loaded Bug, its not lowered, its carrying the entire family. Porsche wheels. Yum.
1960, I think, abandoned Ford truck. It had sat for ages and then, 3 days after I finally decided to shoot it, bam, gone. Sad.
Oh yeah. If there is one paint scheme I like on these Mustangs is this one, Mexican 1972 Mach 1 351 4-speed with Torq-Thrusts, very, very well restored and maintained. Ive seen this car run and it goes decent, sounds nice..
Old Datsun at speed, its a Datsun not a Fiat, you can tell because the doors open normally, if it was a Fiat the hinges would be in the rear of the doors, suicide-style.
Cute 1965 Mustang hardtop spotted at a rolling market in which I get my food :0 fresh and cheap fruit! Ah yeah, stock wheelcovers too.
Very old pic of a very rare here 1965 Impala, never sold in Mexico, and poor pic because it was taken with a 1.5 mp Fuji about 25 meters away X_x:
Yet another Charger, this one loaded with vynil top, real Cragars and flip-up headlamps, shot near my house like
6 years ago. Missing some stuff like a turn signal, but still pretty neat.
Also very old snap of a canary Harley Davidson with wide whitewalls and loads of chrome.
This one was weird, from the outside it may look pretty questionable, but look at it! Its got a rollcage and massive tinwork inside, a gigantic spoiler and, above all, a gigantic pair of Webers in the engine. I really really hope its as fast as it looks, and that those puny wheels and tires are for street use only. At leats it has some serious visual impact.
Really really good Rambler Ambassador. Most of these cars turned into clouds of rust several years ago, so finding such a perfect one was awesome. All of it stock, and apparently, original paint. :0
Nice fastback Type 3 VW with late-model Bug wheels and general good shape, these things are increasingly rare to see, specially in fastback trim
tough the rarest is the wagon.
Late 50s Dodge/Fargo panel truck that has been turned into a graf display, abandoned behind a local food market. Dogs chased me after this.
Pretty decent 1957 Chevy 4 door
heck even like that, Id Moon cap it and add yellow flames, and drive it around like there was no tomorrow. Nice car for a daily driver.
This megaawesome Mexico-only 318-inch Super Bee, complete with really early mag wheels and side exhaust, has been trapped in this parking cage for
well, for at least 8 years. The only time Ive seen it outside was for repairs. I´d SOOOOOO drive it like crazy, I really like how it looks, even if the paint pattern is not original. And come on, side exhaust
Check out the several Batman motifs in this 3d gen Trans Am, a rare find in here, specially in such a good shape.
I have always, ALWAYS wanted one of these, a Renault 4 people-mover, this one was extremely cool with the blue wheels and white lines and was for sale, too bad I had just gotten into the apartment thing, or maybe I would have even asked about it. Minor glitches but overall ok.
Same place as the Renault 4, different time, this really, really cool and mean Fox Mustang roared around, romping and stomping, very aggressive camshaft profile
it sounded incredible even at walking pace, Id love to hear it @ full song. Awesome wheels, cowl hood and pretty ok girl too.
This one was weird, its a Rambler Ambassador also, but look at the continental kit! Look at the round quarter window!!! Were these sold like these, or these things came as options? WTF? I had never seen one like this before. It ruled!
Extremely, EXTREMELY rare in Mexico 1963 or 64 Pontiac Tempest station wagon, the only one Ive ever ever seen here, it was really sad to see it in such a sad shape, but it was extremely restorable. Sadly, I dont think no one would care about such a car, even if it is so very rare. This thing with a 421 tri-power and gigantic ladder bars, and of course, a straight axle in front
OMG
HAHAHAH this was awesome. This compeltely hand bodied tubular chasis had a VW bug engine, and was formed of flat sheetmetal. I almost cracked with laughter when I found it, but I also had to admit the guy that built it must have had a blast making it and driving this oddity in the street. Its abandoned now, sadly. Heck, I dont even know if its still there, it was like 7 years ago.
Also like 7 years ago, this was one of my first abandoned car spots, a 1960 (I think) Studebaker Lark two door, seemed that someone danced in its roof, it was folded down, and the car had an awesome patina everywhere, it was absolutely complete , and it would click right in the rust fad thats going on right now
check out the 84-85 blue plate and the 53 Chevy in front of it, of which.I dont know why I dont have a pic -_-.
From that same morning, 1966 Dart marooned in an alley, the flash attracted plenty of people and I was in a really ugly part of the city, so I had to move fast
Then, this
1970? Buick Riviera, also very rare here, these were never sold in mexico, and its the only one Ive seen of this model with the hidden headlamps, in pretty decent shape, very restorable, but again, I dont think anybody cares. I love those wheels.
And nooooow, facefull of rice!
Lets start off with
ahem, if this Probe was not riced it would still be a spot, specially that old, the Probe was never sold here. But come on, who does this?
Old pic of a fellow students piece of crap at my Uni parking lot.
This was even worse, check out the nike logo on the door.
Generic lols:
We used to call this one The fleamesh, it lived around work at that time. You can see why if you look at the front fasciae.
This is worse, it belonged to my cousin.
