absolute spot of the thread. It's so awesomely and insanely weird it's just too awesome awesome. Its like one of the drawings I made when I was 10 brought to life. Incredible.
Awesome Isetta too! catching one on the street is quite odd, and even worse, fully loaded!
The Vixen pushed me to post:
A 1975 Mexico Super Bee that looks like a plain duster because the hood tachometer has been removed. At the time (I took the pic like 7 years ago) I thought it was a transplanted V8 duster, but later I met the owner at the local drag strip and he told me it was a Super Bee with a plain hood.
This thing was utterly out of place, ragtop Jag XKR in the parking lot of the public uni here in Mexico City. To think the students went into strike some years ago because they wanted to up the fees to, like, 50 cents per year per person
anyway, rare sight here.
Like anything, a Dodge Ram race truck from the long gone NASCAR Mexico truck series, Ive actually seen some of these run in track days as they seem to be plenty cheap to buy if you find one today, and you get yourself a tube chasis car with a burbly V8 and good suspension, its a good start, you only need to make more power to be really hauling ass, these things had about 350 hp.
Ford Maverick in decent shape, with a lot of odd chromed tidbits like the hoodscoops and some quarter panel pieces, but overall ok. Plenty of potential here, just drop in a 351 and there you go.
Here is a 1969 Chevy El Camino I had posted earlier, with a Caprice front clip that absolutely ruins a very rare car in Mexico. I winder why the owners have not looked for a Chevelle front clip, Chevelles were sold in here throughout their entire life. Potential, but a lot of work ahead.
This pretty nice 1965 Mustang hardtop with American Racing wheels and red stripes was very very cool and sounded great, whats questionable is that I snapped it in the cemetery, when my grandmother was being creamed. Oh well.
Is this TT anything special? It looked more aggressive than the bread-and-butter TTs I normally see and had some cool wheels to match. Nice red too.
Very nice 70s Porsche Targa, really complete, and original, I do know that is its original paint. As I could not get pictures without the guy walking in front of it
I later saw it again and snapped. I know its owner, he also has a yellow one and a nice mid-80s 911 with a custom Turbo system thats fed by a Dellorto carb, both of which will appear here soon.
Yet another old 911 sitting in a trim shop, we may never again see two Porsches in the same post from me.
These curious little things rolled by hauling some publicity. Anyone know what they are?
It had nice wheels.
Abandoned police-tweaked HEMI Ram anyone? This thing sat there for months, then was gone. Id have loved to get its engine.
The only shot I could eve get of a long-abandoned Renault 8 in a gas station I used to pass by while going to my wifes parents house. Its gone now.
This thing is pretty rare to see here, a Merc 500 with pseudo AMG wheels in black, was in very sad shape for its age, and obviously lowered, but had good potential to be a pretty cool street machine.
This blue Mini ragtop wore some ugly wheels, was lowered and had some stupid mesh covering its fasciae, and is our introduction to our rice department this week.
Following it is a Renault 12 in sad shape, with transplanted bumpers and a DUB plate and Overhaulin sticker, denoting ricer ownership.
Then this incredible thing that started life as a Honda Accord and then fell into the category of Please burn me to ashes thanks to
well, see the picture. I mean, COME ON.
Finally, dig the flaming wing on this thing. Idiotic.
Thats all for now, pretty horrid post, nah?
