Ah ha! That's the one that got away from me a couple of months ago when I was on the bus. Seems like he's changed the wheels and taken the roof off. Great pics mate! I'd been wanting to see that close up for a long time.

And here's something you don't see everyday, ridiculously named Mitsubishi Minica Toppo Town Bee

I do, my neighbour's got one ;)

What is it, a modified MR-S? Looks crazy!

KSaiyu & NISM0_SKYLINE Yup, a crazily modified MR2 / MRS, seems like the roof and rims aren't the only things he has changed, the exhaust has been modified too! RUE, do the number plates match? To be honest, since I saw it at night where street lights and neons are abundant, the reflections from the panels don't have the quality of a proper GT car. Looks more like it had an extensive amature body filler job. But a cool car nonetheless.

You must have posted that Mitsubishi way back, I seem to remember it now. What a funky thing... the female driver in my shot looks tiny even compared to the car, lol.

Yes, same car the number plates are the same. Unfortunate to hear that the finish wasn't quite as good as I thought when I saw it on the bus. I had hoped it was basically a track-ready car like the JGTC A'Pex GT300, alas. But you're right, definitely a cool little car.

btw, I love the S2000 you posted, for some reason it wasn't showing up for me before.

Bentley GCT, lots around but this one's in a rarer colour
ben_continentalgt_ge3348.jpg

MG, he rolled up a little as I took the picture.

IMG_8302.jpg

Maserati Indy, never heard of it

IMG_8321.jpg

The first one is an Austin Healey and the Maserati is awesome. Great spot!

EDIT: Forgot this. My first new Z4 spotted a couple of weeks ago. This one is the range-topping S-Drive 35i model. Seen a few around since. Nice looking car.

I always get MG's and Austin Healey's confused. Thanks for the correction.

-> Found a couple of stuff:

- An old school Triumph TR6:

-> I don't know if these pics should belong here or somewhere else.

=SPY SHOT=

- 2010 Dodge Ram 3500HD

^ After I saw the TR6, I also saw a Euro-market Toyota Avensis Estate and a camo'ed Bentley Mulsanne before I took this Ram, but I wasn't fast enough to snagged the pics. :(

-> Here is the Avensis that I (tried to) shoot at night 2 weeks before:

Parked on one of my neighbours' driveway when I got home from work today.

Lambo

Now how am I supposed to compete with that?

Something is definitely changing in my neighbourhood. Last week a Lamborghini and just today a black Panamera a few houses down, not to mention the CL65 AMG parked outside the local minimarket last week

Back from my trip to Melbourne and I must say that there is alot of nice cars there. Here are the ones I managed to capture, all with a crap phone camera. Sorry if some of them are crap angles but I was always walking and didnt want to appear too obvious. I dont really know many of my new cars so I will just put up brands for some of them and you can tell me what they are! Here we go.

Subaru WRX with awesome lights/rims and exhaust.(This is my biggest picture, the rest are resized and cropped).

Maserati 3200GT

Maserati GT?

Maserati

SLK 55 AMG Convertible

350z with awesome styling, sorry for the blur

Porsche

Porsche GT3

Im not sure if this is the same porsche but this is a shot of one the previous day from a further distance so it looks crap:tup:.

Redbull Minis with numberplates that say 'Wingz' for the closer one and 'Wingz4' for the further one.

Lamborghini Gallardo

Ferrari F430?

Ferrari F360

Ferrari 328?

Debadged 300c, nothing too special

BMW

BMW

I saw more but couldnt get them all, I just saw a clean black Ferrari Testarossa on my way back home but missed it.

The amount of Porsche owners in Hong Kong who put bits and bobs from other models on their cars is ridiculous. I'd say if it said C4 then it's a C4.

Oh, I have no doubt about what it is. It's just a good body kit swap, that's all.

And the 1959 Olds is actually a 161 Cadilac, the 59 Olds is a way weirder design, look for it.

Ah. Thanks for the correction. I'm glad the photos are turning out better, too. 💡

Nothing much from me today anyway.

First Cali I've ever seen in Melb, obviously only the thumbnail.

An odd mash up of many 911 bits, looked horrible. Had a GT3 front bumper, stock rear, Turbo rims, and a cabrio too. :irked:

Scags are awesome - they're worth more than the 599s, and they have an awesome sounding V12. Love the colour too - there is a midnight blue one I've seen near me and around Sydney - I love them.

Legendary - Both Porsches are GT3s (red and white) - or at least with the kits.

And the second 430 is a 360.

The first maser is a 3200GT (I think) and yes, the second is a GT.

Both BMWs aren't M's, but still niceish finds 👍

I think the V12 of the Scaglietti is the only thing people like about it. But like you, I love them as well.

As much as I used to hate them, after seeing this one countless times from my school, I absolutely love it.

I like how it doesn't share much in the way of style (or indeed engines) with the other Ferraris. All this sharing stuff makes Ferraris look a bit too commercial, and the Scag does it's own thing. The looks are contraversial, but I love the understated look of them, and the interior - even though I think the wheel base sould be shorter.

Thanks:tup:.

No probs :)

Thanks, it was all taken in my 5 day trip to the city of Melbourne, here I live about half an hour out and dont see many great cars so that was probably one of my only major contributions to the thread.

Scags are awesome [...] they have an awesome sounding V12. [...] - I love them.

Here, here! 👍 Fantastic cars that get no love and my favourite contemporary true 4-seater GT - Bentley Contiwhatnow? Just look at that interior!

2008-ferrari-612-scaglietti-one-to-one-interior-thumb.jpg

M5 which had the best exhaust noise ever.
Austin Healey, he rolled up a little as I took the picture.
Lincoln Continental
1986 Monte Carlo Aerocoupe, I guess only 200 were sold
Maserati Indy, never heard of it
Alfa Romeo Spider

Very nice, I specially like the Monte Carlo, very rare, and the Lincoln. Solid spots. And the Indy, never seen it either, nice front.

Anyway, some more spots from me because it's been a week already:

First this pristine 1966 Mustang Hardtop with factory steel styled wheels and whiteline tires that was at an exhaust shop that usually has one or two vintage ponys in for work. If you like muscle cars you’ll faint when you see what these guys had one day in a future post.
rfded019.jpg

Meters ahead in the street these two guys were also working on this tattered 1970 Mustang hardtop, totally unrelated to the shop mentioned earlier. Note mismatched wheels. Potential? Yes, but would it be worthy? It looks to be a base model. Maybe not even a 4-barrel car.
rfded021.jpg

Ah, this International pickup may be a 1941 model, something like that, I’m not even sure but it was a rare spot indeed, how many of these have you seen? Way rarer than a comparable Ford or Chevy, or even a Mopar. Nice resto-rod, even if I’m not too fond of the wire wheels.
rfded023.jpg

Meters ahead I saw something weird coming. Sure enough, it was this M3 cabrio with a very complex camera rig mounting a TV cam, I was later told they were filming some cheesy soap opera. Man look at those magnets! I’d so rock that thing. Also, note that the camera is protected against rain by some plastic bag. Practical.
rfded026.jpg

Some night shots of a wire-wheeled (real Cragars, no less) 1968 Impala, most surely a small block car, no big blocks were ever sold here. This thing had escaped me for years, then one night while walking the dogs I finally caught it.
rfded028.jpg

rfded027.jpg

Sorry for the blur, this F100 was taken from a moving bus, decent street rod stance, a pity I could not cacth it better.
rfded030.jpg

Check out this awesomely, insanely cool Maverick 289 complete with mildly polished slot mags, Mustang hood scoop and general 70s street freak vibe. 4-speed car too. It was immaculate. I even like the green.
rfded034.jpg

rfded037.jpg

This is for Diablo, a same-gen Barracuda as his, obviously in worse shape but come on, it has a lot of potential! And it’s rear window was intact, which is the most difficult part to get for these cars. Minor work and money wouled make this an awesome street stormer, but you’d need a V8 swap, the 273 small block was never issued in Mexico, this is a slant six car.
rfded033.jpg

Mid-60s fin Mercedes at a upholstery shop I usually visit because they get some cool cars. Rough shape but pretty restoreable.
rfded035.jpg

Minty Jeep Wagoner of which I still cant see why I did not take a picture of the front aside from its grille behind the magueyes. Still, it was in pretty good shape, and finding these in decent condition is getting way difficult.
rfded040.jpg

Black golf with jumbo colour-matched wheels. Yeah, I know, but it looked more or less clean and the picture was somewhat nice. Bear with me.
rfded042.jpg

Ah, a very original 1969 Mexican dodge Dart GTS with its unmistakable slotted hood, twin exhaust and GTS and 318 badging. It also had its original Inland shifter for the 4-speed trans. These things were the fastest cars in Mexican streets back in the day, with 270 hp. Today they are highly sought-after, but somehow this one has escaped the guys that seem to make a living finding them.
rfded044.jpg

Then a 1961 GMC truck with those extremely cool hood scoops, holding what seemed to be an out-of-.order crane in its flatbed. These are not easy to see around, and this one was pretty tattered but it seemed to be still in use.
rfded050.jpg

Keeping the GMC company was this rusty, abandoned and strikingly cool Renault 4 wagon, this thing had obviously seen better days, check out the custom side exhaust and rust literally drooping from the doors. It smelled just like you see it. Awesome.
rfded051.jpg

Then we have this cool and street-freaky 1965 Mustang, which was not mint but pretty decent, with real Cragar SS wheels (wider rears, correctly) and some pretty nasty exhaust rumble but no lumpy cam, so it was just the exhaust. I still cant comprehend how I could manage to ruin the rear shot. Duh.
rfded058.jpg

A tattered Mexican Monte Carlo SS that would be a pretty good candidate for street machine coolness were it not for the fact that its nose is broken, and finding one is getting very very difficult.
rfded062.jpg

Yet another 65 Mustang, you can see everyone and their mother fixes Mustangs here, this one had a cool street-rod vibe with the American Racing wheels and low stance, and it sounded nice too. It was absolutely mint. I gave a thumbs up and the guy, who was drinking water in a bottle, waved back and spilled a little on the car.
rfded068.jpg

An EVO 9, this things are difficult to see here, and this one belongs to the owner of a shop that puts out some of the fastest air-cooled VWs in the country, which have run the ¼ in the single-digit territory, so I’d assume the EVO is not stock. But who knows.
rfded070.jpg

A mid-80s VW Atlantic with cool BBS wheels, I dunno what this car is everywhere else, but in here they literally fall off trees. Finding a decent one is HARD, as they were very unreliable, but this one was neat.
rfded071.jpg

This really cool 1958 Dodge panel was pretty decently restored, not mint nor stock but very good. Still, what really pisses me off is that, when I was snaping it, I had my dogs with me, and when I took the front they moved and the picture came out blurry. Ugh.
rfded076.jpg

This time, we have classic rice! In stark contrast with the awesome green Maverick posted previously, we have another green Maverick that looked half decent from a distance, but closing in revealed the worthless wheels, stupid Mach 1 (thing wasn’t even a V8 car) lettering and in the front, replacing the grille, some ricer mesh insert. Duh. I could not get the front because when I was at it some people appeared, and as I was at some ugly point of the city, I preferred not to chance it. I’ll get it later.
rfded031.jpg

More rice in the form of an ungainly VWDerby (dunno what it is in other pars of the world) with the horrid front bumper, stupid wheels, stock stance and bike rack. It’s a race car, see? It has racing stripes. Ugh.
rfded060.jpg

There we go, pretty blue oval post, this, but oh well, at least just one sucked.

That's film business for ya. :) Camera car mount looks awesome though. I want one of those.

Well I did alright today, I went to get some Oil and Filter for a relatives Corolla at AutoBahn...in the car park was a BRAND NEW 370Z...that was nice! Then i walked inside and had my socks knocked off!! There sitting in the corner of the Audio systems was a Mine's R34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec II!!!!!!!👍
I couldn't believe it, very nice ride. Mine's are the Ultimate GT-R Builder's!!
