I think the P3 probably was a kit car as it wasn't making any noise  I've been sat at my window again today and have seen a few nice motors going past, but they're still going and I keep missing them because I'm aching too much from standing by the window! I'll upload them later on.

I saw a few of the supercars being chased by M3s and kitted up 350Zs so I'm not sure what's going on at the NEC or if they're just out there looking for races. And losing.

peek inside the Building... and see the 935 Porsche racer. You have to get us pictures of that, Skyline.

I've seen it before.

And one from that day.

A Ford Torino maybe, or a Ford Fairlane. I'm not sure.

I don't know if this is a real Type R or not, everything was in the correct spot and it even had the Recaro front seats.

My afternoon keeps getting better and better, I just saw an Audi RS6 being chased by a 911 GT3 being chased by an Audi R8, all doing about 120mph up the road outside my house  Awesome.

The thing your basically seeing are cars running passenger runs in the Classic Motoring Show area, visitors can pay to get rides in these vehicles (£10-50 I think) they had quite a wide range of stuff including a 350Z (with a bodykit) although it had a couple of NISMO badges on it. There were a couple of M3's too. :)

That probably explains it then, they were absolutely flying! The R8s seem to be going full throttle every single time though, whereas the rest are generally cruising about.

Yeah the R8 was generally pretty much belting it yesterday, the Marcos drivers were in convoy yesterday and were also going pretty much flat out, well it sounded like it :dopey:

Having the chance to live in Germany for a few years has its perks!
DSC02947.jpg

This has got to be one of the biggest perks! Living within one hour of the world famous Nurburgring. I don't currently have a car that I would deem 'ring worthy' (I do have a budget set aside for one right now, I'm just being picky!) so todays adventure was without a lap around the north loop but still amazing all the same.
DSC02949.jpg

I spent most of my day wondering the halls of 'ring-werk' (insert from Nurburgring.de; In the ring°werk, the 15,000 square metre leisure park where everything revolves around the legend, motor racing and mobility, you can experiance the world of the Nürburgring with all your senses. Every visitor to the ring°werk feels like a racing driver - whether a big or a small child, a family member or a business partner.)

There were many inter-active attractions that dont really make for good pictures, but are tons of fun. They also have other shops including Aston Martin. Torwards the end of the day I went to the enterance of the Nordschleife, where you can simply buy a ticket and drive your own car for a lap around the Nurburgring. I snagged a track sticker and put it on my PSP for good messure

Very nice spots lately, very envious of you allent2 :P

Here's a few recent spots, very down to earth post.

Really mint MX-5, Enkei rims and CF boot (possibly fake), but generally a perfect example.

Edit//

I don't normally bring up old stories, but I thought I'd share something that happened today.
Some of you may remember this from over a year ago: Post 13577

Anyway, I've seen some pretty cool cars on my travels lately around the country (south east UK), but it's on my recent trip to Nottingham visiting an old friend of mine, I spotted this baby in his apartment parking lot. I spent over half an hour there with my camera. I'll stop typing and let you judge for yourselves:

Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione
lanciadeltahfintegrale0pb6.jpg

etc etc...
This is by far the best condition one I've seen over the years, note the number plate, this is one serious owner. I've left a note to the owner to inform him of my indulgence in his toy, and to offer him all the photos I've taken of his car, but still waiting to hear a reply...

Well the owner got in touch with me a couple days ago inquiring on those photos, and here's where the car is now, in the hands of a Spanish collector:

And the car he replaced the Delta with (this is after all in the UK)

If you're reading this, thank you, you made my day.

@Dac_Xint: I think I'd rather the Delta over the Z06. Looks cooler imo.

Nice spots everyone :)

He said he's moved on, I would agree too, but considering the kind of work he said that was needed to keep the car in shape for the road, he's rather sell it to a collector and keep the car in the condition it was in. I mean roll cages and big chassis restoration work.

owner made the right choice...

I think for UK, the Z06 is a pretty wild choice, and a great one. Keeping the roads interesting.

harrytuttle posted one of these and said they were rare. So here's another one. Mazadaspeed Protegé, also with aftermarket wheels.

Well, I was going back from school and I saw double-parking a gorgeous white Corvette C3. It was really clean, it looks like it's new and the hood is HUUUUGE. Watch out, extra large photos (2304x1728):

Appears to be the 3rd iteration of the C3 (front and rear body color bumpers), nothing too special (didn't exactly have exciting horsepower haha). It does have the nice aluminum wheels and side pipes though.

Yeah, work on those cars have got to be pretty expensive.

*Mazdaspeed Protege*
My half-uncle has one with a fairly honkin' 50-trim turbo on it. It's good for about 300 horse last I saw it. My half brother hopes to inherit it but can hardly handle a 1.3l Festiva much less one of these..

Cheers,

I've seen an SL65 so many times. :)
Mainly because of the assistant principal at my school.:indiff:

Teaching really pays there, eh? 💡

That's not quite a CL63. In fact, it's not a CL63. No side badge, no AMG wheels, and no front-end AMG bodykit. So it's a nice CL550, but that's about it. :indiff:

I don't know if this is a real Type R or not, everything was in the correct spot and it even had the Recaro front seats.

Unless it was right-hand drive, it's not. The Type-R was never sold in the US, nor in left-hand drive.

I have some that are genuine, however:

Saab 9-3 Viggen

I was not aware the Viggen was available as a 4-door, but this seems to be it. The wheels are suspect, but the exhaust was right. Maybe, maybe not.

Rolls-Royce Corniche

Typical 1970's color, but it looks right somehow.

Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 1967

A client just bought a nice '67 SS396 convertible (not show quality, but a good drivable car) and I hesitated to post photos of it. Thankfully this came along soon after. His is sky blue as opposed to this red one.

Jaguar XKR Convertible 2009

It's really not that dark out. I just had the camera settings wrong...which goes part way to explaining half my awful photos.

Nissan 350Z Nismo

These are becoming increasingly common. I guess Nissan's trying to get rid of them since they were overpriced when new. All that for a non-aerodynamic bodykit and a slightly better suspension? I'd pass, too.

Nissan 370Z

Strangely, I found the Nismo version first (posted last month). Maybe the pricing is better aligned this time?

Audi RS6 2004

Never fails to emit a wonderful V8 roar.

Porsche 911 GT3 2010

The subtle gray almost made it invisible. Looking at it now, though, it definitely shows off the curves best, and certainly keeps it from being a standout in the crowd. Probably owned by someone with good taste, but wants some privacy. Oh, the irony....

Bentley Continental GT Speed vs. Ferrari California

At just about the same spot as last week, another odd pair. The previous two were obvious competition. This...not so much. Maybe it's just the local dealer's salesmen having some fun during lunch. Lucky bastidges.

Dodge Coronet 1965

I'd say the 9-3 was just a regular Aero, but even then the wheels are wrong I think. It looks more like a regular 9-3 with a bodykit, or perhaps an Aero with some winter wheels/tyres on it. The Viggen was only ever produced as a "coupe" and convertible, as far as I'm aware.

Don't know what this is and I didn't turn my camera on fast enough to get it all.
