I think the 458 number plate mounting brackets (here and here) look better than the sticker, more than a bit annoying that car makers are still ignoring front number plate mounting although they aren't required in all countries.

It's a 1936 Frazer Nash Special, with a 1.9 litre BMW-sourced straight four, if anybody cares.

Being driven out and about on public roads. Not at a show, nor in a convoy. Just being driven.

I recently did a 50 mile stint in a 1924 Bentley 4.5 litre from Le Mans to Caen, very similar to that Frazer Nash but a good deal larger. It's amazing how slow the car feels when you're sat up so high off the road. It was hilarious that people in modern cars were trying to overtake us and then giving up when they realised we were doing 90 MPH and they were never going to get by. Now that's what I call motoring.

Plymouth, I think, wagon. I've never seen this in a wagon before.

On that Bullitt Stang... Lieutenant of SF Police? Cool, indeed. Nice spot on the R33, I'd post the one in town (turbo'd RB25) if I didn't see it so damn often. Still jaw-dropping to see, however!

@ Rue soon you can post without cars in the picture and no-one will notice, just captured by the picture. Do you have your own thread here already?

Since I first saw this Bentley Continental GT, it has never been parked in the garages. So the cars in the garages are more expensive? I keep wondering what is in there??

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's Lieutenant of SF Police. Clever people everywhere. That be cool to be able to see a Skyline all the time. We have an R34 GTR around here somewhere, but I've never seen it on the street.

Eh, I didn't since they weren't that great and it was only a couple.

Haha, I guess that's a compliment - thanks mate! No, I don't have my own thread keep supporting the DYSAGT thread although I haven't posted much recently which doesn't really matter as there are so many good spots in here from everyone else. I promise to post more in here very soon. Here are a few ib the meantime...

The first one I'd say is a Toyota, but I have no idea. I like it though. And the last one is an MR2, although it my have another name over there.

The first one looks like a Toyota version of a Lexus LS. The second one, as NISMO said is a Midship Runabout Spyder. Is that the different name you were thinking of?

The convertable version is called the MR-S, or Midship Runabout Spyder. The old coupe version is caled MR-2, or Midship Runabout 2 cool 4 u.

EDIT: The 2 actually indicates that it is a two seater, but it is still 2 cool 4 u!

The white one is a Toyota Mark-X, which is a replacement for my old favourite the Chaser. The last one is indeed an MR-S (MR-2 in other markets) with some rather tasty wheels and seats. I assume the 'S' stands for 'Spyder' Midship Runabout Spyder...?

Eh, the R33 owner's in his twenties so naturally he's out street racing with everyone else most weekends. I see a RHD Accord Euro-R every now and then as well, which is just as pleasant, imo.

By the front grille, I'm almost 100% sure it's a Austin Healey Sprite, the MG Midgets and the MKII, III, & IV Sprites where basically the same cars with some minor differences.

Yeah that is a Healey Sprite grill. The MG was either thick vertical chrome strips or a black plastic grid one set back slightly.

wonderful post tuttle. For the record, La Salle was not Buick-derived but Cadillac, and for once I think you are correct on it, it seems to be a La Salle. I call kit car on the MG, but got damn, GOT DAMN, the Ghia Speciale is an incredibly rare sight. I know it's in it's trailer but it doesnt matter. There are a handfull of these in the entire world. It is without a doubt one of the rarest cars ever posted in this thread. nice comeback pal.

It's possible it was a kit, but the tires and everything else seemed right. It'd be easier just to get the real thing. As for the Ghia, there was no way I was letting that go by without a decent photo. It was the most beautiful silver I've seen in a long time. Yeah, I guess you can call it a 'comeback' when I'm only here once every 10 days. :indiff: Need more posts!

Awesome spot 👍

But it's a '69 :sly:

'68's had round side marker lights about the size of a .50 cent piece. The 69's were rectangular in shape, like the one pictured.

Plus it appears to be a Satellite, not a GTX or a Roadrunner - GTX's and Roadrunners had the power bulged hood, wrong wheels for that year as well,(magnum 500's,not rally's)

Thanks for the correction. 👍

Come again? First, that was the final Lightning style produced...unless you're thinking of the newer Lightning concept. Second, the first gen wasn't all bad. It was able to pull .88 G's, and had many firsts for both Ford and trucks in general.

Allow me to elaborate:

The first good one, after the bad one, but before the really good one. In blue.

Sorry for the confusion.

Less confusing:

Honda Civic RT 4WD 1984

A 4WD Civic. Not as good as its Subaru contemporaries, but an interesting effort.

Ford Taurus SHO 2010

I had totally forgotten this was AWD. No wonder it's such a heavy beast. Real competition for the Charger, in a way Ford probably didn't intend.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT

I remember seeing hundreds, no, thousands of these outside Shelby's factory near Las Vegas. All those lined up, and then...none here. Who bought them?

Chevrolet Bel Air 1954

Modified, but nicely done. Loud, but not deafening. Black, but not menacing. 👍

Chevrolet Malibu Maxx SS

Considering how clunky this looks, can it be any fun at all to drive, or are we talking Aztek-level boring?

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2008

For some reason, this red just stood out at me. Most Z06's are distinctly not red. Fewer are white (as posted before), but red, such a common color, is not usually applied to the Z06. After seeing this one, I have not idea why.

Volkswagen Passat W8

If, 20 years ago, you said there'd be an 8-cylinder Volkswagen, I'd think you were crazy, but not as crazy as if you said there'd be....

Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI

....a 10-cylinder Volkswagen.

Audi Q7 TDI

....or a 12-cylinder 'Volkswagen'.

Audi S4 Avant 2001

It could have been subtle, but that blue...that lovely Nogaro blue....

BMW X5 M

The most fun you can have in an SUV, except for....

BMW X6 M

....this one. It's ugly, it's not efficient, but it moves.

Jaguar XF-R

Still looking for the XJ-anything. I've seen one, but it was a base model. Is the XJ that polarizing? Previous years' used to be everywhere here.

Porsche 911 ~1968

Way down a shared driveway, this just barely caught my eye. Neat little thing.

Porsche Boxster Spyder

I posted one a few weeks ago, but the picture was horrible. I hope these make up for it

TVR Tasmin ~1982

I could not figure out what this was until it finally went by (at 5MPH under the speed limit!). I never considered TVR because, really, who bought a TVR here in the last few decades?

Maserati Merak

I had to loop around 4 times to get a good photo of this. After so many missed opportunities, I was not letting poor lighting let this one get away. Finally just pulled over, leveled the camera on the open windowsill, and clicked away until it looked passable. I couldn't have gotten a better one if I wanted to, as he left minutes after this photo.

New Product Releases:

BMW 535i 2011

Looks alright. Huge, almost 7-series sized, but looks alright. If the 3 is going to be the size of the old 5, and the 5 is going to be the size of the old 7, where does that leave the 7 to move into. The bus market?

Audi S5 Cabriolet

New S5 convertible, breaking the tradition from the 80/A4, but at least making sense with the numbering scheme.

Porsche Cayenne S 2011

Brand new. So new, it doesn't even look like a Cayenne. It looks so much smaller, and if it's as light as Porsche says, maybe it will be acceptable as a true Porsche.
