Come on you both. 200 realible, air-cooled hp are easy and cheap with a VW engine, and I'm not even talking turbo.

How can you guys tell it has a Beetle engine?

In the 60s and 70s, and well into the 80s in some parts of the world, a multitude of Beetle-based kit cars were released. I can't now but i'm sure if I dig a little, I'll come up with who made that one and how it's called, but it smacks of the typical Beetle kit cars. Some of them were awesome with futuristic designs, sliding cabins and the such.

I was defending you. :(

Yes but you never mentioned more power could be made (:

I never said it couldn't be made either. Beetles are my life, I know what those engines are capable of, and how amazing they sound. :)

Sorry for the rather rubbish phone capture. I saw an S600 today in the carpark of where I got my car serviced. But not the large, V12 Limo, rather the opposite. Looked in honest condition, too. Paint blemishes yes, but the underside suggested it ran regularly and the interior was crack and rip free from what I could tell.

That is so cute!

That S600 just gave me a heart attack, I've never seen one in person, but I'd love to see under the hood of one personally. That little high revving 10k rpm+ engine is sooo cool.

There are a couple here, Paul. Though I've yet to see one outside of the classic car show.

Close to my girlfriend's home there's a car collector who's apparent passion is to let the cars rot:

This one I saw this morning:

(Yep, manual)

^That is a horrible and wrong thing to say.

There should be ABSOLUTELY NO CAR left to get eaten by rust and corrosion! No matter how it looks, what is its performance etc....

Cars should never be abandoned. If one ain't able to take care of it, why not just sell the thing tosomeone who is? When I see stuff like this it's just plain sad, especially if they're old.

Yeah.. No.

There are plenty of cars that are allowed to rot away, or be crushed.

I agree with Dennisch. If all cars were maintained. Imagine how many there would be!? The road would be insufferable!

Well, what I think Madertus was getting at, which I agree with, is that some people hold onto cars with the notion that someday they're going to fix them up, and so they refuse to sell them to people who actually are able/willing/ready to fix them, and meanwhile they never get around to doing anything with their cars, and they rust away, sadly.

There's a guy near me who's has a Lotus Esprit parked in his drive for YEARS, and I keep wishing he'd sell it to somebody who'd actually get it working again and drive it...

Keep this in your mind at all time.

Never give me a scare like that. EVER.

My point in a nutshell.

Missed out on a sweet Chevelle SS today. Really irritates me because it looked like it had been to the scrap heap then they brought it back and fixed it up in yellow with stripes. If that corner wasn't there I'd have pull my phone out. Argh, 🤬 off now. :grumpy: maybe I'll see it again some time.

Great fluffy cloud reflection, too! And yeah, it's easy to go hunting to find the great stuff, but when it comes to you, it's so much more gratifying.

Bit late, but loving the Capri and S600 on the last page, nice spots :)

I've always had a soft spot for some of the quicker and more powerful Capris, would love a Tickford Capri but would swap out the fugly non-grill for a regular one.

But, the Corvette's body is fiberglass. It'll last for ages. 👍

That GTO is pretty interesting, Steering wheel is similar to my Pontiac.
