Well, that was a fine piece of art!! IMO...It was in downtown Hartford, parked in the lot for the Parkville Market.
EDIT: Looks specifically like a 1963 Ford Falcon.
What a gorgeous thing... this has to be one of the best car designs ever.
Probably been wrapped...
nah it should be the 3rd series going by the grill and the missing covers for the headlamps. Most beautiful is still the Series 1 for meWhat a gorgeous thing... this has to be one of the best car designs ever.
I guess that's not the 1st gen, as the grill is different, still a beauty though.
When it was released it was described as the most beautiful car ever made, by a certain Italian called Mr E. Ferrari. What a gorgeous thing... this has to be one of the best car designs ever.

No way.
Being a member of a Jaaaaaag club, I get to see dozens of these at events like this one in the summer.Well, I didn’t see this today but since we are talking Jaguar E-Type I wanted to share this beauty I had at my work a couple of years ago:

This was a Series 1.5 (don’t remember if it was a ’67 or ’68 but 1.5 was only one year) so it mostly got the same exterior as a Series 1 I believe, but with some of the interior from Series 2.
Everything with that car was just so perfect. It was just perfectly restored with some minor patina left that just made the car so much better and with the soul and character intact. Everything was gorgeous, and the engine compartment was probably the most beautiful and flawless I have ever seen.

A real showstopper. Superb car and today when I think of this car I regret not buying it myself, despite whatever economic hardships that maybe would have brought…
How lucky you are... man I can only imagine how cool it is to be behind the wheel of one of those with such a HUGE long hood/bonnet in front of you...Being a member of a Jaaaaaag club, I get to see dozens of these at events like this one in the summer.

While we seem to be on an E-type vibe, here's one I saw at Beaulieu National Motor Museum (in the car park, not in the museum!) a few weeks back...@Korvregn that's the one I like the most, with that grill and especially with the hardtop looks absolutely perfect, I'm sure you would need to sell a kidney and cut your right arm to be able to buy it, at the very least haha

Here's my contribution to this subject:

I've seen this one at a car show actually, love the color!
Wow, that is unbelievable, I've never seen one of those in person before. Not in my lifetime.Well, I didn’t see this today but since we are talking Jaguar E-Type I wanted to share this beauty I had at my work a couple of years ago:

Rare sight indeed, here's one I've seen recently at a car show:
Yeah the XJ-S is really aging well, no wonder it was in production for so long. It has a hard time being the successor to the E-Type, no car could’ve filled in those footsteps, but I think it’s coming back and getting the recognition it deserves. As a classic Jaguar and the last car Malcolm Sayer was involved in, i guess it will be a good future investment, maybe it will go a similar way as the E-Type and prices go up overnight.View attachment 1403514
It was the 3.6 but eh, it's not a sportscar in any way.
But if there's an example of aging with grace/like a fine wine, the XJ-S is doing it. But it has to be pre-facelift. One of the machines that will find its way into my collection when I win the lottery. But with the V12 because of smoothness.
