Haha ridiculous... That incident at 0:53 I was actually knocked off the track by hondy and we didnt even visibly touch! The hell?!?

A word about that to hondy: Maybe you could leave a bit more space to survive for others. I mean you can clearly see how much I go to the outside to avoid you and you still knocked me out... not saying you did it on purpose, of course!

Sorry it is a bit late folks. For the eagle eyed you will notice I have lost Round 4's results in the OP, but don't worry, I still have the times on my camera. When I get time I will post them again. The point standings are correct though.

BTW Rom your two TT times with the Murcie were exactly the same...2.00:924. First time ever anyone has clocked exact times...that is consistency for you

The bonus TT with hondy's BMW will count towards a reward at the end of the series. Yeah don't ask me whatkind of reward okay.....wait and see

Now I hope you guys enjoy the GT1 race this week. Swim's open air Cat is going to be a nightmare for me....lol. FLX says he cannot wait for Sunday

Actually, they were not... My 2nd time around I did 2:00.923. stupid game round it up...

PS: Aad yes, I'm usually very consistent after I get used to the car. I even flipped the car at both starts Beat that. I only wished I got my tune

PS: Why didn't you count the laptime done in the video I posted.. I would've been third using the in cockpit view (kind of shows the difference... )

I actually use the helmet cam in every race. I dont even care if I could be faster in another view its just so immersive and gives an extra shot of adrenaline!

I love the helmet cam FLX but after 5m I start to get dizzy. It started recently but it really gets me

Maybe in a few weeks I'll try again but never to race online. I'm tooooo slow with it

Well, as you can see from my avatar and profile album I love Caterhams....because I've owned two real ones.

Only wish I'd had chance to take them round Spa.

Talking of racing lines showing:

Does switching off the racing line ACTUALLY make the car quicker in the game, or is it just the fact that you tend to use a better line of your choice and brake later ?

No way can I turn the line off on some of the circuits at night though ....especially online. No chance. My old man's reactions are just to slow and eyesight too bad.

I dont think there are many people on this planet playing this game, that can be faster than the times submitted by hondy. The Shanghai Bund GP with the Sumo GTR is especially awesome. I know that car and track backwards and I can't come close. Race those cars and tracks and you folks will know what I am talking about. Serious racing hondy well done mate those are world record times 👍

A change in the format tonight guys. Shanghai Bund is a disaster doing a race, so tonight:

1) two TT's with the Sumo GTR @ Shanghai Bund GP....fastest time to count for points
2) one TT (medium) with the Caterham at Spa...time to count for points ( Flx's favourite for November)
3) 5 lap race with the Caterham at Spa...to count for points

So basically the TT at Spa will replace the GT1 race

NEWDRIVER it is your chance to select a car and track for the open race next Sunday. Please let me know sometime what your choice is. See you guys later 👍

Note:

Shanghai Bund is a wall-rider's favourite online, so 'official' records are likely to be questionable at best.

I'm NOT questioning hondy's time, knowing his skills .

Why is racing at Shanghai a desaster? Just cause you cant overtake from the jump to the hairpin and people will certainly end up crashing into the armco? Well... its like that in real street racing too, what do you expect? The part from the hairpin to the jump is fine for overtaking, so I d have no problem racing there.

I d actually prefer it mucho to having to have a second go with that nearly untameable Caterham at Bumphalla aka Spa...

Edit: Where can you wallride there without losing speed compared to the proper racing line?!? Not that I m planning to do that but I dont see a curve where that could help there.

You can wall-ride almost all bends...and it IS faster.

The first time I followed a guy round online I was amazed....and sick as a dog.

Another good track screwed for honest racing.

Well since we all know each other well its safe to say that wont happen in our little league. But I m amazed too, I never thought you could wallride those 90° bends. Then again, I dont care and dont see the point in spoiling my own fun with cheating.

If I d have to choose between a messy Sumo race and a runaway Caterham Spa time trial, I d choose the Sumo all day but we can discuss that later on in the chat what everybody is thinking. I m of course accepting the poll of the majority.

I will have to miss the Sumo race. When my PS3 was replaced I restarted career and have not gotten that far yet. But I will be there for the Caterhams.

Yeah y all once again great fun and great car control of all parties involved! 👍 We made it through the chinese armco hell without a single incident and some great racing!

The highlight was of course the Catarham race, nice job FLX managing 5 almost clean laps from high 2:22s to 2:24s... not bad with a car (with missing tune) handling like a mix of a 2CV and a house! And nice pass in the grass @ Steve!
