Hey tuning guru's...

I realize I'm a n00b here on the forums... I actually have been lurking and decided to join the community to give input where I can and more specifically ask for some help. I've been having a devil of a time tuning either of the Diesel LMP cars in the game (both the R10 TDI and the 908 FAP) and they've got me to the point of giving up and saying "to hell with it" :ouch: I did a search upon registering but come up with different people giving out different tune ups... I was wondering what the lot of you would pick as an overall good tune for the Sarthe Circuit and the 'Ring... the 'Ring especially.

I've turned practice laps on both courses and can run some decent times, however I cannot put together consistent laps back to back to back without spinning the car out due to their massive amount of torque. I am delicate on the throttle and use the "roll on" technique but even the slightest bit of throttle usually brings on unwanted throttle oversteer and massive tail happiness. To give a brief overview of what I have the cars with is:

Racing Softs (for practice, endurance races I use mediums)
Chassis Rigidity
Stage 3 turbo kit (for both, the 908 is really laggy though with that turbo)

I've tried numberous different diff settings and still can't get the throttle oversteer problem taking care of... that's what irritates me the most. The best lap I've turned at the 'Ring on the 24H layout was a 7:19 and some change... I can turn sub 7:10's with the 787B. I'm also using a standard DS3 controller :ouch:

Thanks for the help guys... I appreciate it 👍

Take a look-see at my 908 bud.

(click image) I guarantee it's drivable anywhere, the big help I found to the snap throttle oversteer was the diff settings. Setting it as open as possible actually results in slightly more wheelspin but when it does spin it's only the inside rear, and as a result doesn't throw you into walls. Suspension is ridiculously stiff by "conventional knowledge" but it soaks up entire curbs better than most road cars with 1/4 the spring rate so it is what it is.

Also of note is MFT's take on it, knowing Greycap it'll be a bit more difficult to drive but likely faster once you master it. Or maybe the other way around, I don't know seeing as I've not tested it. I'd tend towards their gear ratios (mine are old and unupdated and so only actually use the autoset) regardless.
