Online when I drift there is always either a Silvia, Fairlady, RX7, M3 or Supra in any room I join. I'm not saying this is bad ( all are very good drift cars), but it seems everyone is using the same sort of thing. When I drift online I usually use the FT-86 G (avatar) for the reason it's very good but also as it is "different". In all my time online I have never seen anyone else use a G concept.

My question is do you drift in cars that others use or do you use something that to you is a bit different.

I use all sorts of cars and too be honest I see a lot of ft-86's also. Therefore your earlier statement about using a ft-86 instead of a rx7, m3, etc. doesn't make you to original :D

 I guess I just always go into bad rooms

I'd say stick to original cars :) best drift cars are the cars that are famous for it irl, and tbh, thats what improves tandems imo. I can get really pissed off if i see people in cars that are really fast but theyre just gripping all the time. Destroys the tandems in my opinion :)

I don't see cars like Tom's x540 Chaser and Esprit V8 too often in the lobbies. I also like to drift some MR-/RR-drivetrain cars. But don't get me wrong here as I like to drift the traditional cars too.

Hopefully after the update we will see more variety.

I hope so, differing rims on standards might encourage a bit more use. Anyways I use a Ruf BTR to drift with. Most people I meet online say they have one, but the question I always get asked is, "How the hell do you drift that?" With a DFGT is what i tell them...:sly:

Due to PS3 problems i haven't drifted in a while, but it's always cool to be unique. I'm seriously hoping we don't get the shaft with standard wheel changes. It seems like something Polyphony could easily mess up, but that's for another topic ;)

Hyundai HCD6 concept. Yup it's driftable

I guess its about what cars the people of your region drift. Here in Australia its all Japanese with a bit of German and Australian. For a country which is a lot like America, I usually don't see many in American cars. For some reason not as many people drift the original AE86 even though it is an excellent drift car

i almost always drift cars that nobody drifts with. like to drift with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione ’08 , Chevrolet Camaro SS RM ’10 , aston martin db9/ vantage '99 , Callaway C12 ’03 , Maserati GranTurismo S ’08.

I have been spending a lot of time with cars under 250HP old european and japanese cars. Of course I have spent a great deal of time with AE-86's with superchargers, NA, and turbochargers. Miata's and of course the 60's sports cars have great balance and light weight. It takes a little bit of work to get them to drift up the cape ring but it's not impossible.

Shelby Series One was my most used drift car (bwfore i got my G25 and lost all my drifting skill) but i see why people use the traditional stuff. If something is popular, theres usually a reason.

People are gonna hate on me for this, but i don't drift the original AE86 because of the nasty unchangeable four spokers on it now. I'm sure with 2.02 i'll be trying to find/use my 0/0/0 Trueno

I've tried a few different typical drift cars and couldn't do anything with them.I use my Solstace concept most often, my other most used cars are my SLR Mclaren, my ACR viper and the Mazda Roadster TC.

Most of the time I am using typical unoriginal cars, but as of late, I have started using the 135i, z4 and skyline coupe 370gt

Callaway C12 ’03... Rough pick.

I like using cars nobody ever uses just to be different. My main drift cars are the 1970 Superbird and the Camaro iroc lol. But don't get me wrong, I love nothing more than breaking out the Chaser and the Sil-Eighty every once and awhile.

So far I haven't seen another Nomad Diablo or CT230R in a drift lobby :sly: the CT is a beast on CH tyres and really gets people riled when I blast past, and then I get told off as usual for being 4WD scum :irked: the Nomad just slays at everything, as long as you have very good throttle control with it.

I drift a 500hp Audi S4 98' with comfort soft tyres, it is a car up and till a few weeks ago, I didn't know was on the game, because I only ever saw the more modern shaped 02?03?04', not quite sure...
