Since every car from GT4 is going to be in GT5, I know this is going to happen. Cars taken straight from the official GT4 North American car list.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY VERSIONS OF THE SAME CAR?

Example 1:

Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) ('99)
Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) ('00)
Nissan Skyline GT-R Midnight Purple II (R34) ('99)
Nissan Skyline GT-R Midnight Purple III (R34) ('00)
Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec (R34) ('01)
Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nür (R34) ('02)
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) ('99)
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec N1 (R34) ('99)
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (R34) ('00)
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II N1 (R34) ('00)
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nür (R34) ('02)

Example 2:

Honda NSX ('90)
Honda NSX ('93)
Honda NSX ('95)
Honda NSX ('97)
Honda NSX ('99)
Honda NSX ('01)

Acura NSX ('91)
Acura NSX ('97)
Acura NSX ('04)

Why, in the name of all that is holy, would there need to be FIVE V-Spec models instead of just the best one (V-Spec II Nür)?

PD. Honestly. I love you, but you're testing our relationship. You have 15 different R34 Skylines, but your Mercedes line up is dated? Honestly.

Sure we need more mercedes cars, but heck those GT-Rs are all different. I am happy we see so many different versions. Trust me, when we gonna race online, everyone will have something different, and NOT just ONE car will be dominant.

I looked at the specifications of the different GT-R's and most of them have the same weight and same power/torque. I mean some of them are different, but why are there TWO special purple ones?

Not again.

Modeling these dont take that much time, so why not?
I would be happy if i would own a specific Skyline model and see it in the game.

EDIT: Okay, i agree about the M.N.P. color editions, they couldve made them colors for the cars.

I guess Nissan gives PD free lap dances. Nissan is the only company they do that with, right?

To answer the question, there is no need for that nonsense except to make the car count higher (but we all know it isnt really higher, they can just put a bigger number on the box.)

1. Noone said all the cars from GT4 will be in GT5
2. PD is a japanese developer, so they want their own cars to be in the game and every Japanese should have the chance to drive his very own car, he probably owns in real life.
3. PD has a very close releationship to Nissan and so they might bring some more Nissan cars into the game than from any other manufacturer, even if they have over 30 Skylines in the final game.

I don't mind them, I doubt they took a spot away from some other manufacturer.

I agree it doesn't take a lot of time, but, it's still a waste. I mean, who has honestly bought anything LESS than the best GT-R? The price difference is very little in the scope of the whole game. And the Honda/Acura thing is just insane, I do not remember there being 20 different NSX models. Just the one with pop-up lights, then the facelift and the other models (Type-S, Type-R).

BUT. At this rate, I want to see...

BMW 325i, 330i, M3 (Sedan and Coupe)
Mercedes CLK320, CLK500, CLK55 AMG (Coupe and Convertible)

Etc. Etc. PD is just bias towards Japanese cars in some rilly (silly + ridiculous) ways.

Discussed to death in the GT4 sub-forum and already the topic of a number of GT5 threads in regard to if it will happen again.

We do not need yet another thread on it.

Locked.
