Sure it will be cool to just hit a button and post your replay on YouTube, but imagine how many hundreds of thousands of crap videos will be posted.

That's true, but at least it takes some effort to make and post THOSE crap videos.

My concern is that there will be SO MANY videos posted that it will become pointless. It will be the latest Needle in the Haystack of the digital age. Say you want to see a video of a particular track and so you do a search and find 100,000 hits. You'll spend hours weeding through all the "hey watch me spin out" vids looking for a decent lap.

Well, if you can name you output file, it should'nt be a problem.
You could look for online replays of online race teams, like GTP or GTRP

Like anything else on YouTube, those who make an effort to organise and annotate their videos more will get more attention, and make life easier for people who are looking for something specific. And I have no doubt at all that GTPlanet will have no shortage of people who will put in a great deal of effort into their GT5 YouTube video collections!

I personally can't wait to be able to use this feature (or will be disappointed if it isn't there!!). Having been at a couple of GT4 LAN parties in my time (UKGTP,SFGTP, Mini-Scotcho etc.), being able to review the action on YouTube at a later date is brilliant - but currently, only a relatively small number of GT players have the technology required (and the wherewithall to use it!) to make good quality GT videos. Hopefully, GT5 will change that.

Hmm, fairly easy to imagine considering what is already on youtube. The only people this would concern are the people that run Youtube - but clearly they don't care if they allow PD to advertise this.

That's not the point. The point aerlier on was that you'd be unable to find useful quality racing videos because of the amount of crappy videos.

If everyone can custom name the file, you can look for guaranteed quality racing replays, replays from online race teams to be more precise.

Only having a dig mate, no harm intended. I realise you had no way to prove the times.

It should be a great feature but still there will be retarded videos (Crashing into walls at 350 km/H) and there will be some intersting ones. I can't wait to see how this will turn out to.

I thought I did read some where that it will be recorded at 720.

I'm more excited about this for me. Not to show the world my GT vids, but to keep videos of my self driving that I can view for years to come.

I think this thread is bad idea.
Who cares.. You will get videos to youtube.. Lets just see if we have a cool editor.

Now I can save a video to youtube, possible my HDD as well. Then I can capture the video and edit it with good TOOLs. Before only people with video captures could copy a direct video. It is freaging awesome idea.. We are not just limited to In Game Tools for Video editing. So we will have superior movies now.

nobody thinks the youtube upload feature is a bad idea...except you (and I still don't understand why...)
EA already does it with most of its sport games like fifa, fight night and tiger woods pga tour

I agree that this will bring a lot more crap to youtube, but it will also bring more good stuff. It will take a little more waiding around to find the good stuff, but I think in the end it will be worth it. And as noted the good stuff tends to float to the top...

There is going to be a SCARY, youtube-straining amount of videos, but the ones with the most/best ratings will rise to the top, and you'll have pages and pages of 5 star videos to watch. The GTP tags will help too, and also, if you divide it into all the categories (the races, the cars, the tracks), you'll get slightly less results. I know what you mean about the epic quantities, but think it's gonna be awesome.
