Is a 900* steering lock supported in Dirt 3?

My understanding is Dirt 2 did not, but does Dirt 3?

Answer: No.

Is a Clutch option supported in Dirt 3?

I have seen videos from Codemasters using the clutch in Dirt 3, did the option make it to the public?

Answer: Yes.

How does the Clutch option function?

Can you get locked out if you put the gear lever in the gate before the clutch is depressed? (like GT5) Or will it go into gear reguardless of having the clutch option on? (like Shift 2 Unleashed)

Answer: Pedal engages/disengages low. Lock outs possible.

With the T500 & PS3 their is a notch when turning to approx 135 degrees or say (5 oclock). You can go past this but I can only get 1.5x full revolutions in the steering. Just tested a 207 rally car.

X360 - Clutch & H-Shift are NOT supported on the X360 with Fanatec wheels.

PS3 - Thrustmaster T500 RS "Clutch" is detected and programmable. I currently have it as handbrake. It will likely support the upcoming Thrustmaster shifter.

PS3 - Fanatec - TBC

PC - Clutch & Shifter are supported on compatible wheels - Unsure about 900 degrees.

270 degrees is confirmed?
Might bust out the MS wheel then.

Yes it would be 270 degrees as it goes from 8-5.
One thing I did notice is that if using cockpit view the centre line of the steering wheel in game is 95% accurate to your own actual wheel position.

Any news yet on whether the Fanatec shifter can be configured as a handbrake yet?

Yes you can use the sequential Fanatec shifter as a handbrake, i use the paddles for shifting and sequential shifter as a handbrake and that works perfect :)

I went for ps3 as xbox does not support h shifter/clutch.

PS3, fanatec pwts + cs, h shifter & clutch both work.
seems to be fixed at 270, (though nothing says this), I've sent linearity to 0 , which I assume means fully linear. ( has a weird -9 to + 9 setting)

Yes there is misshifts on clutch, I think it is just down to clutch depression, I.e. Not like gt5 with revs. But seems (too) easy to miss - I think it's going to spark debates on forums just like gt5 clutch did :)

Update: steering lock
At 270 deg, with 100% saturation , virtual wheel is correct , and feels right.
obviously you can set your wheel to 900, but at 100% saturation, its not going to turn.
You can to 900 and them put at 25% saturation, but then the car seems to be hyper sensitive even though virtual wheel shows same input as when using 270/100.

Some seem to say use 540 lock, so I guess it's a bit down to taste at that point

Clutch is still a nightmare, it seems to be don't lift clutch before gear selected, but I still get misshifts

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the game was made with the Thrustmaster in mind.

Now the Thrustmaster is a 1080 degree wheel I believe.

Where did they get the 270 from then?

I'm sure 1080 will work, but it will drive like a bus.

Perhaps playing with saturation and lock > 270 might yield something good,
But personally seem to have only negative effects for me, and 270 was fine.

Also it may be that the steering continues past 270 , but is only animated this far ( wasn't fm3 like that?)

Bare in mind I'm using cockpit, and hate it when steering wheel does not match my movements :)

Note : there's no telemetry so it's hard to know exactly what's going on
