DiRT Rally 2.0 General Discussion

I remember when I first played DR2.0 I was disappointed because the handling and physics seemed to be dumbed down a bit from the original. In hindsight it was absolutely the right call because going back to DR now its not much fun, too inconsistent as you say - something unnatural sometimes about it in that ypu commit fully over a big jump in Finland and wait to see what the physics engine has in store for you, in DR2.0 you know how the car's going to react.

That said, I think with EA SPORTS WRC they've found a happy medium - the cars are reasonably predictable, but equally feel a bit more alive and dynamic, I think DR2.0, for all it's maybe my favourite rally game ever, has gone back to feeling a little bit unengaging in comparison now whe you play them back to back.

Thanks everyone, once again I have no idea how hard rallying is so I was going by the notion that DR1 replicated it accurately. It's less fun though since it gets tiring after a short while due how scary it is for me trying to survive

DR2 felt more balanced and fair the more I tried it. If only this also have Pikes Peak....

Yeah they've been down for quite a while. Can still get on the game though, not sure about career but the rest of it was working fine for me last night (don't play career)

For those with PS5's, the game runs like poop. If you use the exterior cam, you car will constantly flicker. It does it a lot especially in tracks like Greece.

I have this issue on PS5 after buying the game recently, and it's very annoying that I didn't notice it before buying all the DLC....ugh this is why I hate modern gaming.

THE FACT that Dirt 1-3 on PS3 plays perfectly, and now were all the way up to PS5 and having issues....give me a break.

I actually went and tried Dirt Rally, first one on PS4 and it has no issues on PS5. I also actually prefer the physics way more than in Dirt 2.0. The only thing I miss from 2.0 is the track selection and the 2015+ WRX STI since I own one in real life.

Runs absolutely buttery smooth on PS5 for me with zero issues.

Another PS5 user here. I had some screen tearing issues when I first started playing, but those seemed to be addressed a few patches ago as they are pretty rare now.

I think it looks better on Series X than Ps5 although I can't quite put my finger on why that is. But it runs perfectly smoothly for me on both next gen machines.

It's because it's 4K on Xbox One X, therefore you are playing this version on Series X with absolutely no slow down, locked 60.
