Dirty racers thinking they are clean

Thats frustrating you end up with the same guy, in those situations I just put the car half a car width from the middle of the track to the outside and back out of it, they have to take a tight line and often run wide. If he is divebombing and not actually hitting you off then just take a normal wide line but try braking that little bit later than you usually would hopefully he'll try and match you and end up off the track :)
 
Jenkins i think i was in a race where you just took on a personal vendetta on some swedish guy , remember? You left the door wide open , he took the space then you went onto the grass to push him out , then you proceeded to pull out a pure takedown from burnout 3 on this guy .

You just couldn't handle being overtaken thats it , its kinda baffling you're a S SR frankly

hahaha that was one of them I started in pole position and and slowed down to like 7th to take him but I only half took him out and took 2 laps to get my burnout take down, it was glorious.

Hi,

Been browsing gtplanet for a while and loving the new game but having similar problems.

I am posting as I was in that race last night too, in 4th place in a Porsche too. Me and 3rd were having a little battle and he went wide and I took the inside line, thought it was going to be clean but unfortunately we came together and I got a 10 second penalty. This all happened at about 2.36 into the video just in the background. It was a shame as it spoiled the race as I took the penalty. Still D/S though maybe see you in another race Steve

Yes thats something what you learn to avoid if you play it more. But like i said its not always possible, its part of raceing online sometimes with lag and sometimes with people who cant lose whitout raging.

If you wanna see bad racing and lobby search for Forza 7 online races..... then you will be happy that your playing GT ;)

I don't think anyone's been reading, I get crashed out constantly by dirty people who say they're clean. So I've had enough and just wipe them out every race. I don't need to win so I'm not assed either way, it's enjoyable burnout style wiping people out and making them last.

So now I'm really confused, why are you playing in ranked mode then? I don't get it, why not just create a private lobby called "Destruction Derby" and crack on.... ?
 
Yes, I had absolutely no problem with it at all. One of those things, sometimes though 2 different lines converging can look like you got rammed but this rarely is the case.

I watch the replays a lot to learn, re enjoy some overtakes and see what happened when things go wrong.

Loving the game overall it's brilliant. Steve

If everyone else was jumping off a bridge would you do the same? You're admittedly no better than the people you are crying and whinging about. They are probably doing it for the same reasons as you, which I won't divulge my opinion on because of the AUP.

If people want to be dirty then fair enough but it's gtp members who don't even know there dirty is what annoyed me. Someone can wipe me out and I wouldn't be assed. And I'm not crying I am happy either way I just wanted an explanation as it's these type of players mostly have names like GTP_.

So I suggest you get your plat and leave the people who want to play it alone. It rather seems you’re the one coming to GTP and telling everyone how to race when you’re not even interested in GT.

Well guys I asked a question, and got stupid replies. I guess play stupid games, win stupid prizes would make sense here. I'm not a gt player so crashing other people out for the next 200 races really doesn't bother me what's so ever, because other people crashing me out is perfectly acceptable according to this website. If I'm in a race with you and there's a nice little destruction derby blame the people who made gran turismo making a trophy where you need to finish 322 races and blame the poorly implemented penalty system.
 
I will absolutely always try and race clean, but if I'm crawling up your rear bumper for two laps and show you a wheel multiple times odds are I'm going to stuff you like a thanksgiving turkey if you keep trying to block me. On the flip side, if I accidentally take someone out, I pull off and let them stay in front of me. People should know when the car behind is faster, and you should know when an opponent is going to make a move up the inside. It's far easier to brake a few meters earlier and let them move up the inside and try to fight back on the exit than ruin your race and your opponents race.

I see lots of people pillorying you for suggesting that it's okay for you to crash into other people, and only you suggesting that it's okay. This website doesn't seem to be telling you anything like what you are saying it is.

players with GTP in there name have no correlation to this website apparently. And I tried to race properly but there's dirty players every single time so I gave and now play how I like and find fun. End of this post now as I have got all that I needed.

What steps did we take to ensure that you are abiding by this community's AUP when you're using GTP_LouisJenkins? Are you even required to abide by this community's AUP when you're using GTP_LouisJenkins? Last, but not least, how can we stop you from doing any of this?

We have absolutely no control over who sets up a GTP_ PSNID, and even less control over what they do with it when they do. It's nothing whatsoever to do with us.

I know you don't have any control but to say there's no correlation with GTP names and GTPlanet is funny. i obviously know it's probably no one here but it's in there name so I just wanted to ask. People's answers to players dive bombing me is it's my fault. And I've finished here now I've got all the answers I need so I can go play my game how I like and everyone here can play the game how they like. Thanks for everyone's help.

The reactions of everyone here to you saying you'll happily batter other drivers ought to be a clue that people here aren't happy with people who'll happily batter other drivers...
 
This use of 'dive bombing'... from what you are describing it could easily be that these other drivers are simply outbraking you and you can't read the situation properly.

Its the way he describes it as 'well I was ahead so I am entitled to stay ahead'... Well position yourself on the road that the car slipstreaming behind doesn't have an easy inside pass into the turn if they just adjust their braking a bit. Racing is as much about effective defence as it is about overtaking.

If you need 322 races finished for your platinum, why the heck you dont race last to finish without rage??? There is really no need to whine about in here...

Go race, go ram them all, so you can be outta this game ASAP...
