That's about it, sigh and move on with your race. Nothing else to be done but race hard unless you want to be the 🤬 people are posting about.

Also, you're not really leaving room for the racers beside you either.

Well, what helped for me is, and I know it sounds stupid, put in giant letters on the back of your car, "BRAKE" and just stay off the regular racing line on long straights of tracks like Bathursts and Nurburgring GP

I thought of writing under my back wing “please, keep your distance”.

Haha, what could I put on my bumper to keep people at bay!?
I personally use this.

What I don’t get is how people can’t seem to grasp the concept that if you are in a line of cars that are all braking to make a turn, you cannot use the same braking point you use in qualifying. It’s basic common sense, you need to adjust according to the person in front of you or take a different line. I’m not saying I’m perfect by any means and there are times I’ll misjudge, but when I do avoiding collisions becomes my top priority.

Indeed, into braking zones where the opponent is right behind me, I have had a lot of success with taking the inside line (like, right up on top of the kerb) and letting the other guy have the track-in point on the outside.

2:22 you bump his rear quarter panel, he’s in front,,, whilst retaliation is not right you drew first blood not him

It's a different guy that punts him at the end. If you look closely at the punt, there might be some lag at work. The behind car looks very unstable in it's movements that can be seen in the replay. It's hard to tell from that camera angle what exactly is going on but I wouldn't even be able to call that intentional or not without seeing it from another angle.

This always happens to me on Interlagos and Panorama, i try to avoid those tracks especially when they are only 3/4 laps.

In some cases it isn't dirty driving but lack of skill. If you have trouble controlling the car in the first place you probably also have trouble knowing how or when to leave room going side by side or how to alter your lines in traffic to attack/defend.

Guys like this, GRRRRRRRR!!

How do you deal with people like this, other than lol!?

That's basically it, I just LOL, give them the finger at my TV and move onto a different race.

I swear there is a direct correlation to the number of assists employed and the level of dirty driving ...

The correlation is between skill of driver and how clean they are able to drive because of that. Assists just tend to be used more by less skilled drivers.

I think most people in races like that think they are clean... and everyone else is dirty.

Whaaaat? Driving assists are great! If they're there why not use them. For instance, I tend to drive with TC on one or two. Really assists in those slower corners.

I think this is one of the problems, without tcs you can accelerate much faster out of a corner, the tcs seems to just cut the throttle making it an on off switch until there is traction. I think it would be better if everyone is using the same assists or no assists at all in sport mode so all cars behave the same.

But is really a realistic approach? Many forms of Motorsport allow some form of traction control (but the contrary is also true)

That may hold some truth in a one make race but in multi make races then some cars are stronger in corner entry, some on mid corner speed and stability, some on acceleration out of the corner and others on straight stretch speed so the cars would be different on different areas of the track regardless of whether aids were used or not
