Disconnect errors-pissing me off to the breaking point.

If you have problems either it your internet connection that is problematic, or the hosts connection, or some person in the room. It can also be the servers that are over all weak. The disconnect problem is also one of those things that should be fixed aswell, guess poor implemented online system. I also dont like that you get booted to main menu when you exit a lobby, and then have to reload all servers again, thats bad and time consuming. Half the time goes for searching stabile lobbys and rejoin etc.

I've been having this problem since last week as well. The pingtest.net website says my connection is grade D or F depending on which server it's testing against. I've contacted my ISP and they said my connection is OK, they will take a look anyway though... It's very difficult to find the cause because the game doesn't give details about the problem, it just says "You've been disconnected blah blah". I've sent an email to Sony asking for help with this, you should do this too so they can see how many people have this problem and hopefully prioritize it for next patch.

im using wired connection, i get NAT 2, every other game i play works fine... but in GT5 i cant stay more than 3 minutes in a room before i get disconnected...

And yesterday when i tried to play with a friend in lounge mode i kept getting a 771 error... something about problems with the room owner. I didnt even have problems with GT5: Prologue so i dont understand why all this crap is happening right now.

My Madden and Live work extremely well too. I didn't have any problems with GT5 until the outage. I used to host rooms with 10-12 people no problem. I am using a WIRED connection, NAT-2, UPNP enabled, 16 mbps up and 2mbps. I can't stay in a room 30 secs before I get booted, but I can play a while in my friends lounge. My network is solid and I don't have a lot of wireless devices on. Everything was fine but when the network came back on GT 5 online is screwed up!

I have the same problem and GT5 is my only game that disconnects me....
What is wrong with GT5's servers?, this problem needs attention and a fix soon.
I have more games I play online like: Battlefield, Call of Duty, Mortal Kombat, etc and I don't have any problems with those games!

I've called Sony Tech Support and they are no help. Someone said it's Sony exclusive games that people are having problems with for some reason.

Several friends who never had pre-outage problems are now suffering disconnects every 10 mins or so. Their setups haven't changed so something else must be different... and by process of elimination that must be PSN.

Never had problems with this until this day.

100% of the rooms I join I get booted out from this error after 30 seconds. Extremely frustrating. My setup hasn't changed and I'm an online junkie when it comes to gt5 and I've NEVER had a problem with this before. PD needs to fix this.

I have this disconnect problem since PSN came back up, it never happened once to me before, and my setup hasn't changed. Obviously there's still a few bugs in the new PSN, maybe once it's all back online the problems will fix themselves.

Strangest this about it all is I get this Network Offline message which comes up, and I have to reboot GT5 to get back into lobbies, but I can still access the seasonal events and OCD.

The servers are beeing laggy these days, if its due to psn problem i dont know, the servers has been unstable and laggo for 5 months or so. PD pleas make your online mode perform better, because on other games there arent these problems. The fault is gt5s.
