I am not a fan of a lot of things, from PD support on.
The statistics of these problems does shed some light.
How many PS4s and PS5s including their variations are out there being used for GT7?
How many people have had actual problems that were found to be the fault of the game or the console?
There are a few things that can be problematic, mostly concerning LAN setup and ISPs.
Are you and/or your ISP using IPv6? These problems have mostly been worked out, but there have been some historic problems.
Let's face it, a lot of ISPs aren't the best about maintenance.
There are a lot of network devices out there that have firmware problems and a lot of owners of those devices who have failed to address said issues.
This includes end users and providers.
There are providers that do not block port-scanning. This can cause your devices to be overloaded, in turn causing connectivity issues.
There are some devices out there that have unreasonable (for a lot of purposes) DHCP leases.
This can translate to a changing IP address and connectivity issues.
GT7, although theoretically always connected, only actually attempts to use the connection at certain times, like when data needs
to be refreshed after an event.
If it were me, I would keep a log of what IP is handed out by my ISP and what the IP of my console was/is and when it changes.
I would also check my router's log files.
I am aware that this is not what most people signed up for, but problems usually don't fix themselves.
