Having spent more time with the game now I'd agree with Duke and YellowG1 on the mid-engine oversteer thing.... trying to drive an F40 or an MP4-12C without any traction control is a complete exercise in frustration. Add a couple of clicks of TCS though and I find both of those cars to be quite fun and driftable (to a certain extent anyway.) Of course, as previously mentioned, I am using the controller not a wheel:-(

I started karting when I was 19 with Yamaha KT100 + CRG Heron chassis and worked my way up to a 85cc shifter kart and raced that at Infineon for the first time in '07, a year later I finally went up to a 125cc TM motor + Birel chassis shifter and to this day still have the Birel kart, but went to a better CRS motor.

The karting physics (only playing a few laps and with a DS3) are laughable at best. Yea maybe I get too aggressive when I turn the wheel with the DS3, but then again its a game controller.

I just wish they put in shifter karts instead of these slow ass single speed karts. I haven't gotten that far but can you actually take the kart into Laguna Seca? I went back in march for some track time and clicked off a 1:43. I'm still learning and only race about once-twice a year.

Just a casual karting fan, i liked the kart events and the way the karts handle, what i hated however is getting bumped into by the AI and being put into a spin from a rear ended bump! And they keep ramming you even when ur facing the wrong way round :(

Very different from driving cars with suspension, had to keep telling myself, don't brake don't brake don't brake... don't lift-off, don't lift-off, don't lift-off... don't fly over the road markers, don't fly over the road markers, don't fly over the road markers...

I expect the difference is that you are using a controller instead of a FFB wheel. I know I would certainly be disapointed in any racing sim if I didn't have that feedback.

How do you guys feel about the "wet" physics? I'm trying to get a handle on it. When I set it to "real" instead of "low" it seems to feel terribly exaggerated to me. Or, it could be that PD is assuming sports tires aren't good in water? Would like to hear your take on it.
