Disqualified for not complying with mandatory pit

Hi guys,
I run a 30min race with mandatory pit and 10 min pit window on ps5

The race was under heavy rain for the whole time.

I entered the pit about 30s before the end of the pit window, so my pit ended after the pit window ended.
I think I changed tyres, but I'm not sure about it, as the wets don't have set numbering.
When i was going through the pit lane I also tried to flag the change tyres checkbox, but it was grayed out.

At the end of the race i was disqualified for not complaying the mandatory pit.

I cannot understand what i did wrong. can you help me?

I would maybe do another fresh race or report the issue to PSN. That is weird, you shouldn't have gotten disqualified for just going in the pit. Usually when someone doesn't pit in a fuel saver race, they get a 1-2 minute penalty added to their race time. Hope this helps you some. I'm a little confused, maybe it was also a network error or glitch in the game.

You have to get in and out of the pits before the window expires.

In my pit notes (I'm a newbie) I have written that the pit strategy has to be set before entering the pits so this is probably why you could not change the tyre selection while in the pit as well. Mirrors real life I guess.

No, what I'm saying is that while the dry tyre sets are numbered 1 to whatever, the wet tyre set is unnumbered.

When running dry races I use, as an example, set 1 for free practice, set 2 for quali, set 3 for Race1 and set 4 for Race2. Cycling through the tyre sets I can see the consumption.

It this wet experience I had, even though I set wet tyres as starting tyres and pitstop tyres, being the set unnumbered seems like I have a single set, if I look at the consumption shown on screen.
