Distracted by birds and bees, impeded by cats, surprised by snakes: I love GT4!

Thanks Smallhorses, I actually went to the Prize Car thread just after posting that to find out... *pats herself on the back for not being a noob who can't read the stickies or do a search* hehe...

So guess what race I'm doing tonight???

aw.. no fair, ViXeN... just rub it in, why don't you... GT4 must like girls or something--or just hates me... i swear my poor little B-spec Beavis had to run that 8-hour Motegi enduro at least 12 times... then i closed my eyes before the prize car was presented, heard the fanfare, opened them, and finally saw the black NSX-R... it was like magic... then i gave the TV the double-bird, a hearty expletive, and promptly took her out for a spin...

on a side note: 1,000 is the maximum cars your garage can hold... i "limited" myself to 999 to save room for a sellable prize car... i suppose i co-o-ou-u-uld use a second memory card for collecting at least one of every car, but i don't wanna... who would've thought that a garage that could hold 1,000 cars would be so small... :(

now to decide whether to tune an NSX, NSX Type R, NSX Type S, or NSX Type S Zero... um--what're the differences, again...? IS there a difference...?! and what color...?!! oh my god, i'm in Honda He-e-e-ell... :dunce:

SHAME MAN!!! hehe, I ran the race 3 times...
1. NSX LM Road Car (BLACK)
2. NSX LM Road Car (Silver)
3. NSX LM Road Car (White)

I guess my PS2 was just really kind to me this weekend... I got all the colours I wanted (and possible) in just three runs of the race...

;)

My next will be looking for the RX7 LM car colours, sept I don't know where to find it yet... YET!!!
I had some pretty good luck this weekend too... I've had a red Camaro LM forever now and finally decided to try and get the other three colors (blue, green, black) - There were two more repeat red ones but that was it. Not quite as smooth as your run but alot better than usual :-)

The RX7 LM's were one of the first color collections I got in this game, I spent alot of time chasing that blue one. First I got a Supreme Blue Mica MX-5 1800 RS, put gold wheels on it, tuned it to about 160 HP with a nicely balanced racing suspension (it drives real nice) - then handed the keys over to B-spec Henry and let him go about his business.

I felt sorry for him after about 10 or 12 races though and bought him an Evolution Orange Mica 1.8 RS (tuned similarly) - it has TVR Tuscan wheels too 👍

And I still couldn't win the dang blue one so I got Hank another 1800 RS...

Don't let it be said I mistreat old Henry! Does anybody else buy cars just for their B drivers to use? Anyway, I sorta got a small Miata collection by accident there. And I finally won the blue RX-7 which is the best looking one of the lot IMO :D

About keeping 0km, I like having non-used cars, so I try to get 10km specials whenever I can, and I usually keep a 0km version of each car I like in my garage, but as soon as I realized that car mileage resets to zero when you buy the car from the "Trade" menu... (from yourself or from another card)... I forgot all about it... I beat the crap out of them now...
That's great information  I tried it out and it worked on cars that were bought new (or won), but I found on used cars, it only reset the miles to what they were when originally purchased from the used lots. And no modifications transfered with the cars :( and the prices to buy them from another memory card are really high! But for a highly prized car, definitely worth it...:)

BTW congrats on the Isuzu Bellet colors. Those are hard to dig up - I only have the orange one (but I like it alot) :-)

Mr.Slow
The 'Scrooge does GT4 series' takes all of my playing time so once I won the american series (and the bee) I had no reason to drive it.
I have read most of your Scrooge adventures, that's a heck of an undertaking - hats off to you and I'm glad you're writing the series instead of driving the bee
:D

Tnx. I am hoping to do the first installment of the last part this week. 83.5% and bleeding money like crazy at the moement!

Well, the collection maddness has started with a Yellow RX7 LM Car... hmmm, How many colours are there??? lol... Funny thing is, My B-Spec Boso is only on 3000 points, even though he's raced about 60 enduro's... Yeah 60 at least... I have over 10 Mil credits purely from sold Minolta's.. hehe... (Need to fuel my drifting addiction)

So yeah, I'm impressed with my Yellow Rotary... But I WANT mooorreeeee.. hehe

I have also started colecting cars cars:
I have all the lupos in all colors (the cup car)
All the special black cars except the F1 that I will catch tonight as I'm doing my last enduro :sly:
Trying to get these colections:
Camaro LM Race Car & Subaru Impreza Super touring car

I might start this collecting thing. First I need to find a car I really like that comes in different colours. Maybe the NSX-R Concept LM Road Car, thats one tastey piece of vtec.

oh btw vixen, im just curious, is that you in your avatar?

Just had a look on the arcade mode bit: there's 8 colours there, blue and red look good, but the matt black looks VERY cool! Typically, I've got the white one, which looks as though someone forgot to paint it...

Thanks, I love the Bellet! But I still love you, my half-a-dozen or so 117s... there, there...

I found out about the Trade thing because I'd permanently worn out my Protege and wanted to keep it on the custom rims I had it on... so I tried to trade it to myself and got a bone stock Protege with 0km... and no rims, or close-ratio tranny... :ouch: ...since I've had the collector fever since GT3 (I keep 2 copies of EVERY car I own there, even the f)$&#% expensive ones, just to have a 0km copy), I figured: since you can always buy it back after you've beaten the **** out of it, why keep it at 0km?

Ah OK, lol... Guess there'll be a few more 4 hours then hey... hmmmm, 1 in 8 chance of getting the orange one... could be a while...

A very nice read!

I've only had one attack of collecting-madness, so far, getting all the alfa romeos in "Alfa Rosso". Just so nice to look at, especially the older alfas. The only problem was waiting for the two second hand cars to turn up in Alfa Rosso.

FINALLY!!!

After around 30 4h races and 11,000kms on my Mazda MX5 and finally....

THIS APPEARED

I am in heaven... Now, what to collect next?

EDIT: I found it, my next collection piece.... Toyota Altezza Touring Car ('01) I have the silver one, I wonder how many other colours there are...

👍 Great stuff Vixen, glad you found it! 👍

But you really should drive more carefully: those mountain roads can be really dangerous... Remind me never to get in a car with you... :scared:

As far as I know they are all silver, but the color of the decorations changes. I have one with yellow wheels and other parts.

I'm still waiting for the 156 and 166 in "Rosso Red"... :(

Keep checking those used car cycles. I estimate that they each come up about 4 times in Rosso Red. Doesn't famine's 'used car cycle list' include car colors? I didn't use it, though.

!!!!!AT LAST!!!!!

👍 I've finally got my hands on that grey Peugeot 205 T16 :D :sly: 👍 ;) :banghead:

I'm sorry, but this is an emotional time.

All praise to Famine and his used car cycle list... 👍

Speak of the devil. I did too (today even). Don't worry, the emotion isn't unusual. I felt the same way, Except, I didn't have any used car list (curse you NTSC version!!!) so I had to do every race in fear of missing the magical week that the grey 205 would appear and I could slide all over to my hearts content.
