Recipe for a DIY Aston DBR9:

A DB9 in a colour of your choice.
The best of everything at the Aston part shop.
Oil Change.
One of the last three wings at GT Auto.
A new set of rims.
Lower car to lowest ride height.
Auto set gears to 19, tweak ratios individually if desired.
Downforce to 22/22

Power: 680bhp

Lap time at L.S I: 4.08 (potential for a sub 4.00), reached 331km/h | 206mph
Lap time at L.S II: 3.48, reached 356km/h | 221mph

Note: Lap times did not use LSD or racing flywheel.

What? Surely people want to re-enact Le Mans this year?

Anyway, I read in another thread someone was thinking of making a DBR9 and, well, I suppose I saved them a bit of work :)

Could a mod move this into the Tuning and Settings forum?

I guess...but really the color should be green, to be more exact, the rims should likely be BBS or another many-spoked racing style, I don't understand why the downforce is set at 22/22 instead of 30/30, lowering the ride height all the way will make it bottom out quite a bit over bumps, especially without stiffer springs, and why one of the last three wings? It just overall seems kind of vague and obvious. But, maybe some people never thought of it and will get a kick out of it :) Don't wanna discourage you or anything :)

Black rims are nicer on that car though,

Did a 3'43 on La Sarthe II, do not lower the ride height too much as it will have more understeer, you don't believe me? Visit Suzuka Circuit.

The real DBR9 can do 3'45 on La Sarthe I, that's a LMP2 laptime.

Hmmmm........ 👍

As the thread starter, you can move it yourself using the Admin Tools menu at the bottom.
👍

I did a 3'23.203 on La Sarthe I some time ago

Like you said, "The real DBR9" That car is build to race, it has more downforce and it's 400 kg lighter then the DB9 fully modded in GT4, actually you can't compare a real-life race car to a GT4 car.

Depends on the tires how fast you are on LeMans I!
I drove with my DB9"R" a 3'45.xxx on R3 Tires and full downforce.
Topspeed is something around 320 +/- 10km/h

Here's what i wrote on gt.de:
i choosed yellow rims to match the yellow nose of the DBR9 ;)

I just watched the highlights of Le Mans from this year. The Aston was passing the LMP2's on the straights. Pity about the problems they had, I would have liked to see them beat those damn Yanks... :)
