Of course we’re working on GT6 already and I think what really will be the separating factor is something that we can’t update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6. Things that we can provide through DLC we will, so that’s really the market difference.

What do you guys think it is that can't be updated thru DLC?, I mean he has given us, cars, tracks, paint, and modifications thru DLC. What else is there?

Where did you guys find out there making GT6?

IGN did a interview with Kaz. The front page on GTplanet has the story HERE

That bit at the top of the thread was a quote

If that happens, 🤬 PD then, they seriously think i will spend 700 euro's for getting a game?

I would save up to get a PS4 and GT6. All our wheels should still be supported, so that shouldnt be an issue. Better then then trying to get GT6 on PS3, would be a waste when it could be made much better on the next gen PS. Imagine wait times in GT6 if they tried to add stuff and still release on PS3...

Lots of updates for GT5 in the mean time is the beat idea.

GT6 needs way more cars from the USA and other countries that aren't Japan. Especially race cars and race mods. Although, those can still be added to gt5. A completely revised online system is needed for GT6.

No, I hope it's on the PS3 because it won't take as long to do. Kaz already said before several times that they are using GT5's code as a base for GT6.

It will be on PS3 because they already work on GT6 about year a go. It would be stupid to work on game for PS4 now, when Sony did not present to the public prototype of PS4. So I'm confident that game will be on PS3 ;)

 You think GT6 will be the only reason to buy a PS4 then?

If PD keep adding C's & T's GT5 whilst developing a whole new GT, they really don't need to be 🤬 do they.

I'm sure the next PS will be out before GT6. And that won't be for ages yet.

Don't hate, motivate.

I spent about $550 for Elder Scrolls 4 and a PS3.
In the end, I think I paid about $0.50 for every hour I played on that one game alone. Seems alright by me. :)

GT5 is getting there too...

So you played 1100 hours of Elder Scrolls 4? You are a sick person mate :ill:

If GT6 does end up on ps3, im hoping it is only about a year off. Cause Im also hoping the ps4 is gonna be here in the next two years. PS3 is starting to show its age as far as computer technology goes. Just because they are using the same code for GT5, doesnt mean it cant be used on the PS4. The can do plenty through updates and dlc to keep gt5 alive for the next two years. Guess either way works, but it sure would be nice to get GT as a launch game for PS4. Id buy on day one for sure then.

The next GT will be on PS3, I am sure of it.

GT1 and GT2 = PS1
GT3 and GT4 = PS2
GT5 and GT6 = PS3

Wont take them half as long to make GT6, and it will be the game GT5 was meant to be, mark my words ;)

Basically, any dlc (cars/tracks) they come out with can be brought over to GT6. So hopefully they spend their time on online play, better/more a-spec and (especially) b-spec, replay features, car tuning (advanced tuning option), and lastly menu navigation. New premium cars and tracks arent completely needed, just some cars that come out in the mean time and update some tracks from previous GT games to add the extra content without taking all their time developing it. Just as long as no more time is wasted on premium skylines...

Exactly, limitations with the system have held back certain features. I expect GT6 on the next Playstation, probably announced sometime next year and released late 2013.

Keep the DLC coming as long as it adds tracks, and real ones, not just original circuits.

I'm not buying a new system for a game that won't even be pushing the PS4's power on release. I want my time in my PS3 like my PS2's ten year legacy before I buy another $1000 system.

slash just nailed it. They only started hitting the roof of the PS3's capabilities when GT5 came out. They'll hit the roof of the PS4's capabilities 3 or 4 years after release, like the PS3.

This. 👍

It's how they seem to work thus far. It's just too bad that it will take them two tries to put out the game they wanted to put out the first time.

It was probably less than that, but when I last added up the time on the save files, it was over 800 hours... I think that was before I got the Shivering Isles expansion too. I've played a lot since then.

He was probably talking about the cost of the game alone so something like 120 hours.

Ha! See above. :sly:

The point wasn't to boast (or troll) about how many hours I've put into a game. The point of what I was saying was to show that yes, the cost of an entire console can be worth it for a single game. I often figure out roughly how many hours I put into a game. $60 doesn't seem so high when you play it for a couple hundred hours. That's like dropping a few quarters to play for an hour.

Also, time isn't everything. I also have games that I've probably only played about 8 - 12 hours and they were still worth it. For instance, MGS 4 isn't really that long, but y'all know it's worth the price.

But if you buy a whole console for one game, you're missing out on a lot of stuff.

So that comment about GT6 on PS4 is kinda pointless I think. It's not unreasonable for a game to only have one entry per console. I'd love to see someone play the latest PC games on a $600 machine. If it's too much for you, by all means, don't get it. :)

(Sorry, mass of opinions)

what we need is new options as far as performance. we need engine swaps, tire width options, frame modifications and maybe a little customization as far as looks. oh and a free roam track would be awesome so we can do some drifting in the streets not just a closed track.

Not sure where you spent a grand on a ps3, but if thats the case I feel sorry for you. Im sure a PS4 will go for not much more then then PS3 debuted at.

I guess what Im going by, is now that consoles support dlc, GT5 could easily last the rest of the life of PS3. If they stick to similar coding with PS4 and develop for it for the next two to three years, Im sure they could take advantage of the new hardware.

So do we want a rushed out GT6 that is limited by the PS3, or can we wait for a much better performing console so we dont have to miss out on features just because the console isnt powerful enough.

Either way, Ill get GT6. But unless they change something up a lot, I dont see the point in having it on the PS3. GT5, is constantly getting better, and it still has a lot of room to grow. Something previous GT games simply were not able to do. Which helped justify putting out more then one GT per console.
