It's actually quite sad that the fanboy's education level often doesn't allow them to realize that VTEC absolutely does NOT increase power, but yeah......... VTEC just kicked ya arse. :dopey:

VTEC ,is it , Virtually Tuned to Erase CV ?

For england , it's VTEB and on america is VTEH and on japan it's asonvabnviafv.

On topic: My X2011 it's crap.

Meant to be "Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control"

I've owned 3 Hondas with vtec, a 2006 CRV an 2011 Accord and a 2006 Ridgeline and heve never once felt vtec kick in yo !! :-/

How exactly did we get off topic,

Mom used to own a 98 Accord EX 4 cyl sedan, never felt the VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO either

You do feel it in the Ridgee just look for it after 5.700 rpm and on the Accord kind of, I have a 2012 the CRV on the other hand not so sure but maybe a little, I'm a Honda tech for many years that's why I'm adding my two cents.

On these Accords you really dont feel a thing.

Cool, I'll keep you in mind if I have questions, I traded the Ridge for the I4 Accord though. Still have the crv. You see many issues with the v6 in th Ridgeline ? Mine had developed a engine knock like a piston slap and know someone else who had their engine replaced under warrany for a similar issue.

True, because those Honda's are RPM limited.

I still really loved that car to death, we got it in 1998 (a year after I was born), so it was sentimental to us, until in 2007 when some drunk guy on the highway hit the car, causing it to spin and flip over. My mom got out without a scratch, thank God. It was a hit and run, and the Honda looked like it didn't sustain much damage (the windshield wasn't even cracked), but somehow I knew that the car wasn't going to make it.

That's why I'm trying really hard to get a 1998 Taffeta White Honda Accord EX sedan now, lol.

That car would have gone over 300,000 miles easily. It was totalled at 160,000 miles. Those cars will never die. That's why I HIGHLY respect Hondas very much, not only because they saved my mom's life, but they are the most reliable cars there are.

Lol, slash... We are having a lot of issues with the V6's consuming oil but making mouse not really, sure you can pm me anytime with any question.

That model year swara is my favorite.

Lol, I mean making engine noise.

Yeah, I concur, it looks very nice too! We had the 7 disc CD changer (radio held one, but there was a 6-disc changer in that compartment where you put your elbow on when you drive, so it counts as 7. We had a lot of stuff on that car, I think it was fully loaded, but when we got it, I was only 1, so I didn't really know what we had on the car

I would love to find one with a V6, they have balls the new ones too but for some reason those had the reliability Honda is known for.

True, the '98's had 240 hp in their V6 engines. The 4-bangers were respectable too, 150 Hp and 152 lb/ft TQ. The EX version had 20 more horses than the LX version, the LX version had 130 horsepower and did not come with ABS.

Here was a picture of the car. Not the same car, but ours looked EXACTLY the same.

Oh, how I miss you so much, Honda Accord.
