Do you care for the Asian and French cars in GT?

In a fact, the French constructors at this moment don't have anything particular worth mentioning in racing.

Le Mans is dominated by Toyota at the moment. F1 is dominated by Mercedes, WRC is dominated by Toyota or Hyundai, WTCC is dominated by Hyundai.

though, I could see the following French added in the future of GT Sport:

Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd '05
Pescarolo Sport Courage C60 - Peugeot '03
Pescarolo-Courage - Judd GV5 '04
Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Rally Car '85
Peugeot 905B Evo 1 Bis LM '92
Renault R5 Turbo '80
Renault Sport R5 Turbo Rallye '85
Renault Sport Clio V6 Trophy 24V '00

Ignoring generic wishlist rubbish.

Sportscars:
ORECA and Onroak (Ligier) own nearly the entire LMP2 and LMP3 classes with Norma.

F1:
Renault have a team and supply engines to other teams.

WRC:
Citroen for the whole of the 00s and indeed the PSA group were near unstoppable and they aren't completely dreadful in current WRC.

WTCC:
Doesn't exist... Because of Citroen.

Why wouldn't you care about Asian cars in this game? JDM is practically the lifeblood of Gran Turismo as a series, the game's been chock full of them since the first one on the PS1. Plus it ended up popularizing the Lancer Evo, WRX STi and Skyline GT-R outside of their home country.

French cars are pretty awesome as well, this game made me fall in love with the 2017 Alpine A110.

Asian and French cars? What a strange combination. Why those types of vehicles in particular? I don't understand.
So what, you don't care about the:
Mazda RX-7 FD
Mazda RX-7 FC
Mazda MX-5
Nissan R34 GT-R
Nissan R33 GT-R
Nissan R32 GT-R
Nissan GT-R
Nissan 300ZX
Nissan R92CP
Nissan GT-R LM Nismo
Nissan GT-R Super GT 2016
Nissan GT-R Super GT 2008
Honda NSX
Honda NSX Super GT 2008
Honda NSX Super GT 2016
Honda Civic Type R
Toyota Supra
Toyota 2000GT
Toyota TS030
Toyota TS040
Subaru Impreza WRX STi
Subaru Impreza WRX 22B
Mitsubishi Evo X
Mitsubishi Evo IV
Lexus LC500
Alpine A110 1973
Alpine A110 2017
Citroen DS3
GT by Citroen
Renault Megane
Renault Megane Trophy
Renault Clio
Renault RS01
Peugeot 208
Peugeot 908
And all the other vehicles from these respective regions? You gotta be kidding me. I care for all these cars; there are some legendary nameplates.

But there is a good reason the 2000 GT is nowhere near as generally famous as, say, the same era E-Type or Stingray.
Let’s say that’s true. Now, what on earth has that got to do with anything whatsoever? What’s your point? That we should only have the world’s top 5 most famous cars in the game?

What a troll, and a lot actually fell for it. Bet this kid also started a thread in some Call of Duty forum asking if everybody there hates all the weapons available nowadays.

What a joke this guy.

Instead of making an ignorant thread. Go google up on the Motorsport heritage of both Japan and France.

By the way I love Japanese and French cars especially their racecars despite me being a fan of Italian cars.

PD is an Asian country... of course Asian cars will be front and centre in presentation and numbers for them.

France is one of the most important markets for PD and Sony... you know the ps4 dominates here and the French have an extremely honoured place for PD... you know how many events PD has in France and that Citroen GT thing dating back 10yrs AND the business relationship between Nissan and Renault... France and Japan and deeply intertwined.

Its inconceivable to think otherwise but here we are.

Given the huge role France had in the history of motorsport, their cars are lacking in "motorsport heritage" compared to British, German, Italian cars. Seriously so, I would say.
Would you?
Renault's Motorsport heritage alone makes this comment absurd. Nor have they limited themselves to track based events, having a massive heritage in pretty much every form of Motorsport (as have pretty much all the other French manufacturers).

As a Ferrari Fan, Renault also ended the Era of Michael Shumacher's Ferrari.

One should put how many Championships Renault has won in F1 or has been part of. It's a hell of a privilege to have names such as Prost, Mansell, Hill, Villeneuve, Alonso and Vettel representing a manufacturer in winning championships.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love the see every car ever made in the game.
As to French cars and what I called their lack of "motorsport heritage"... We currently have 31 French cars - none of which being what I would consider an icon/classic (as I said, not counting current Bugatti as French here) aside from the Alpine. So, I do wonder why people would get excited about them. Ironically tho, the latest addition of my modest 1:18 collection is French...

100% agree with you here for what it's worth. But completely disagree with the Asian bit in the OP.

Remember, Kaz mentioned in a current interview by gtp, he doesn't go hunting for every car. Some people come to him. If Renault, Peugeot and Citroen want to have their latest cars, rather than classic cars in GT, that's what it is.

We did have the Gordini, R5 Rally, Clio V6, 2 CV, 205 Rally, in past GTs. We'll have to wait, as always, and see what happens.
