Do you have a CD Burner?

We have an intern at work who swore that everytime her room mate burned CDs it stank up the Dorm because of the melting plastic. :) I thought about explaining to her how a CD burner actually worked but it was more amusing to let her think they actually burned them.
 
i have what was installed in my dell at the factory, not sure if it is a CD-R or CD-RW ill check into that.

anyone can tell me how to burn video from my digital camcorder to it and how to burn dowloaded video like gran dorifto?

You could burn it just as an MPEG and watch it like normal on the computer. Or, you could get fancy and burn it as a VCD and watch it in your DVD player.
 
Heh, I got hold of a brand new sony burner.

40x Write (which I think is about 6mb per sec) 12x re-write and 48x read. It has buffer underrun protection and I burnt a 600mb cd in around 3 mins.
