Do you make your own liveries or use other peoples? I personally like to look at other peoples designs but in the long run prefer to make my own.

Unless I get a good idea of a livery and like how it turns out, I'll stick to using others' liveries.

I enjoy the creative process and like the challenge of doing it better. That being said if its a cool design and super challenging I will use other people's designs. The cool thing is liveries are not permanent, you can always change them out for something better.

So far I download other people's creations, there are some really nice ones. I'm supposed to be somewhat creative - doing abstract acrylic paintings as a hobby the last year - but so far that doesn't extend to attempting anything more fancy than some basic color changes in the livery creator.

Used to make my own in earlier Forza’s but just don’t have time these days so use other peeps.

how to use other livaries?

You search for liveries under the "discovery" section. You can sort by what ever you like but its based on a per car use. For example a 911 RSR liver can only be used on a 911 RSR. Once you find the one you like add it to you "Online Favorites". Then to apply it you go to your "Home" menu where you find your garage. Beside your garage is a button to change liveries. There you can select your own design or pick from you online favorites. use that menu to apply any livery that you added to your favorites. You can't edit it, but you can apply them.

Both, depending on the situation. I'll make my own for a few specific classic GT race mods, but the lack of the import feature means I won't be doing any more for a while. Well, that and the bizarre omission of layer grouping.

I've got an ace-looking Brumos-style livery for the 911 RSR that I downloaded. Things like that I'll rely on other talented members of the community. When it come to full-blown replicas though, I'll admit to being a little selective. A pet peeve is seeing a logo recreated with the wrong (usually stock) font, so the import feature will be a boon there.

I waver between downloading liveries from others and making my own.

I mainly download anime liveries on Forza from others if its something I like. Sometimes I even make my own.

I can also make serious racing liveries as design inspiration for when I'm competing in a series elsewhere.

I can't wait until they allow decal downloads. I think you can share decals too. I have been dying for a Jagermeister Porsche but I think it would be impossible without decals.

While I look around for inspiration I always use my own work; for me and a few others I think it's equal to photo-mode as a way to appreciate beyond the circuit.

I absolutely LOVE making liveries. I only use my own. Heres two that I have pics of on my phone. My El Tigre RSR and my 80s inspired WRX boyracer.

If you like them I have others and I continue to work a lot of different liveries. Follow me, InebriHATED, if you like my work

I use my own specifically for one reason. Lol. When they allow the livery editor, so I'm gonna get into illustrator and make some bad-ass ones.

I prefer to use my own, since I have the knowhow to do quite a few of them, but if I come across one that I'm either planning to make or haven't been able to get right.

Its a nice feeling knowing that if you want a certain livery, you can make it in a couple of hours, and it's nice seeing your own creations out on track.

Plus the "likes" make me giddy.

Those are wonderful. You have a new follower :)

Thanks! Find me on GTS and you can download em if you so incline

I really love the editor though, Ive certainly spent more time in there than on the track so far. Im a little embarrassed to admit that lol.

Thank you!! I had no idea you could download other peoples creations haha.
Unfortunately I'm not artistic enough nor have the time to sit down and make liveries so I'm stuck using others haha. Unless there's a livery that I REALLY want and isn't already made.

The ones I'm using for Sport mode are generally my own if I have a choice of car. There are some very nice ones I've seen for cars that I don't normally use, so if I find a nice one and I don't have plans to make my own I'll use someone else's.

If I take photos with it, I'll mention that it's not my own work as well.

I saw a group 4 NSX with the old Super GT Mugen red fade. I'm definitely going to do this & be aware that NSX is a great grp4 car online, better than the 458
