Walking around with a ring of spikes at eye level is a stupid idea. Ban them!

I'm not vain enough to use one....they're for bufties and wummin:lol:

Between me and the wife we own 3 umbrellas. one i bought, one she bought and one i got because my grandpa got it with his Cadillac Deville and i claimed it as my own (because he didn't need it). i use them often because i think its cool to carry one around, except when its windy as hell out

I would like to own John Steed's brolly - after all, that Emma Peel is'nt exactly a slouch.

My Lincoln Continental comes with an umbrella in it's own holster - green and black plaid (clan not specified) and matches the deep green of the car itself.
My Olds does'nt come with one so I store a couple in the car.

Both my school-going kids carry minis in their backpacks.

It rained all day in Toronto on the date you made this thread and I happened to be watching the weather channel at the time. They were showing clips of the streets filled with people carrying umbrellas - with the occassional unsheltered pedestrian scurrying hurriedly through the strolling umbrella carriers.
The weatherman reporting the scene said that either people were carrying umbrellas or '. . . looking for a friend . . .'!

I do own one but never touched it. Though I've seen people use umbrellas to block the sun here, not rain.

I own two I think but never use them, and one is at my Dad's house so I guess we can say that one belongs to him

I own an umbrella and I do use it. I use to not use umbrellas, but after having to walk half a mile in the pouring rain across campus in the morning, then still having to go to work in the afternoon soaking wet, I don't care what others think; I'm going to use an umbrella when it rains.

Who needs an umbrella when you have a toque?

Don't toques, you know, absorb water? My hat repels water but it looks sort of weathered - it like the snow better than the rain - curses to this mild winter!
