Well, guess what. It's going to be in GT6!! How do you feel about this?

Anyways, in gt4 ( my first gt ) I compleatly HATED coffee break. It was the worst thing in the whole game to win. I could never beat it. I would either miss too many cones, or hit the walls. Plus, the car was usually very boring to drive. I could be wrong though, as I was only around 9 at the time. Meaning that my patience was probably pretty bad.

I don't really remember how I felt about it in GT4, as that was a long time ago and I was terrible at racing games, but I'm glad it's returning. A nice break from race after race is nice, and knowing PD some of them will be good challenges, and some will be controller-throwingly impossible.

Yeah,I remember it sorta being like gymkhana,I wasn't very good at it though,I voted I don't care because it's not something I'll be paying alot of attention to in GT6,sorta like Nascar,I'll try it a couple of times and then let it be.

I remember the Coffee Break Events when it was introduced in GT4 Prologue. I personally think that it was a nice addition to the series and it made things interesting, since it wasn't all about overtaking other drivers but rather knock off the cones as fast as possible, or plan the fastest route to the finish without hitting the cones. As a Gran Turismo fan, i loved it and I'm very glad that it made its return to the series.

hang on a sec...

there we are ;)

lol seriously though, its a welcomed return. i didn't really like them but... more is better, especially because of the frighteningly low amount of A-spec races (from what i know so far)

I remember Coffee Break, was lot's of fun but also hard at the same time. I could never get any good scores, lol. Glads it's coming back in GT6. :)

I am extremely happy that coffee breaks are back, they are always fun and actually test your driving skillz. Really looking forward to it!

Coffee Breaks were the best part of Gran Turismo 4, enormous fun. Good to see them back, and to be honest I am genuinely excited for the "how far you can drive with 1 litre of petrol" and see the differences between driving aggressively and driving gently

I don't remember coffee brakes at all, but I remember coffee breaks!

It's not difficult........

Break = To snap something, or to take a rest/recess

Brake = Something that helps decelerate something in motion

I think i only finnished 1 of them. you had to drive as fast as you could through a feild of cones without hitting any, then stop within a dedicated area!

Indifferent. I never really got into the "Coffee Breaks" in GT4. Even though I did not get excited over their return in GT6, I am happy to see other members are excited.

Coffee breaks in GT4 were bloody great, they helped released the pressure after pushing yourself through all the test. I hope they're even more fun than before and we can use them during SOLO's.

Who has had enough of all these poll's'

Yes O
No O

To do it right you'd have to have an endless series of questions like this:

What's your opinion on polls?

o I like them but they clutter up threads
o I like them but I wish there were less of them
o I like them and wish there were more of them
o I like them a little and 1 or 2 per day would be enough
o I like them a little but mods should control them...
o etc.
o etc.
o etc.
o etc.

o etc.

What is it that you know about the number of A-Spec races that the rest of us don't?

You could complete the coffee breaks in GT4 and continue with the license test, however if you were overcompetitive like I was, you would find yourself trying over and over and over again to get the best score. Honestly I think it was easier just to get gold in all the test than gold in all the coffee breaks, but that's just me.

The new Gymkhana track looks amazing. And i am glad these fun little tests area back. With GT6's physics it's going to be a real treat.

I have noticed that as well and I'm not very happy with it. I hope PD adds much more or there is some sort of alternative. Even if it's through Seasonal Events.

From all the things they could have brought back, this was maybe the last thing I wanted...

But it's OK I guess, back in GT4 they were fun :)

These were simple mini games to get you away from the more serious bits of Gran Turismo. I actually found pleasure in them, especially knowing that I didn't have to gold these to feel happy. Coffee Breaks were more like a mini game to me. Only ones who didn't like them probably were the ones who think you shouldn't be able to have fun away from any of the more serious aspects of Gran Turismo. They should be fun, but not frustrating. We'll have to see what kinds of challenges are lined up for the returning Coffee Breaks.
