I don't think wheel yes/no doesn't make a difference at all. Most casual players play with a joypad. The more hardcore want to use a wheel. They happilly invest for their hobby another 100 to 300 Euros, which is perfectly understandable
For me, previously owning a G25, I really did not have more fun when using a wheel. A wheel mostly takes advantage of controling more powerfull cars but with the lowerend bhp machines there is almost no difference.
I really like to play Forza 3 with a joypad. It has a very nice feel to the driving and handlingwise it's very good to play. Even the clutch works like a charm.
I want to have fun when playing, that's the most important factor to me! Sim is fine, but when it's only frustrating or takes months to get used to, it's not a game to me anymore.
For Forza4 I intend to play with joypad and hell I can't wait for the new details to arrise
