Before I get started I would like to clarify that this is not a hate thread.

Now I have never been one for politics, mostly because I am only 16, so I don't know much about any of the candidates political background. Therefore, any 'political' argument about Barack Obama will have to be saved for the smarter and older members of GTP. What is concerning me is not Barack the presidential candidate (though I don't agree with most of his views), but Barack the person.

My father came across the video below, and after watching I have many doubts and concerns about Barack Obama. You can take the video however you like, I Just felt the need to point it out to as many people as I can.

So, do you trust Barack Obama?

Yes, I trust him.

Hopefully he'll break my trust and not ruin the people of this country.

I think-I think -I think -I think-I think that the -I think creator of this video-I think-I think-I think has -I think-I think-I think a short attention span.

No, I just felt that the thread title and question needed his full name.

Oh come on, thats a scare tactic people are using because it's able to convince simple minded people that since his middle name is Hussein he must be just like Sadam.

I mean, if you were to make a thread about Clinton or McCain the thread title wouldn't be: Do you trust Hilary Rodham Clinton, and it wouldn't be: Do you trust John Sidney McCain? Why? Because someone's middle name has nothing to do with what they're about.

Personally, I like him.

I'll comment directly about the video once I get somewhere with a faster internet speed.

Or maybe I just felt that it would better to use his full name, ever thought of that one. If that's going to be everyone's first conclusion I'll just change it.

change it to: Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

I'll tell you one thing, I trust him more than Hillary and/or McCain

I edited my post a bit.👍

Yes actually I would. If I make a thread pertaining to one person, especially if it is someone of importance, the thread title and question deserve their full name in my opinion.

I can be serious about some things Loon, back off.

I didn't say you were serious, I'm expressing my opinion about how you chose to make the thread title because in my opinion you did it for a specific reason, to try and give him a negative feel even before we read your first post. I feel this way because I know, from talking to you, that you don't like him anyways, so you're going to what you have to in order to make us feel the same way.

I understand what you're saying, but it's just not the case in this situation.

They're there only to point out important words, but I do agree, it was quite annoying.

Well, maybe Barack Obama could abolish some racial notions about U.S. presidency, but Hillary is established as a First Lady (so she would make at least an adequate president) and would break the more general gender barrier. So, given, I probably would trust him, but not as much as Hillary for her experience.

I wish Gilbert Arenas was running to try and become the first black president, as per his ad campaign... in all seriousness, I would vote for Clinton.

Wait, let me rephrase that.

I agree with Diablo', I can't trust him at all. But I cannot vote in the poll, is it for special members? :dopey:

Yep - ones who have posted :D

I've approved your post, so you should be able to go at it now.

@superberkut
Has anyone ever told you that your nick in dutch translates to most favorite "female entry point for procreation"? In english it is a 4-letter word that starts with c and ends with t. Somewhere inbetween are a u and n. As an outsider I still have doubts between Clinton and Obama. Clinton seems to be the best choice, but Obama might bring some real change. But Obama appears too much left-wing to my liking, and might ruin even more the american economy. I think Clinton is more down to earth and with her experience is more likely to make the right choices for not only the USA, but also the world.

Interesting point.

Out of curiousity, what are your thoughts on folks who argue that Hilary's female emotions might make some decisions for her and cause a problem?

I had to read this four or more times to realize that this was not an offensive statement. Remind me to get Premium and change my name to something reasonable... I also am unfortunately well aware of the English word. But, the latter half also means, 'golden eagle' in Russian.

And, what sort of change do you speak of?

As for the thread, Barack's name is spelled with only one, 'k'. Not to be anal-retentive or anything.

Those emotions do play a large role. You might want to look up the Falkland war and the Iron lady (M. Thatcher). What that war told me, is that a woman can lead a country at least as well as a man and maybe even better. Why? Because female leaders have no or little feelings and are more tough than their male counterparts. They are quite rare though. I think Hillary is in the same league as Thatcher and has more balls than Bill (and more brain too). Hilary's emotions will cause problems, but the kind that we males will welcome, or maybe fear. Obama is still in kindergarten compared to her. cute, educated, but not ready yet. Obama will be here in 8 years and he will do some good for all of us.

And, what sort of change do you speak of?
Actually, I do not know. Both teams speak about change. I don't know what kind of change, but Obama is slightly black and Hillary has already been there (in the White House), so changes are a bit of a gamble. If you want my opinion, they don't give a sh (insert)i (add) t. They just want the power to control the world, and that is what the american president does. The russians are pathatic, the chinese are kissing butt and the indians cannot take sides (muslim or not). You as an american should be able to tell us what changes are needed in the USA, not only to keep the people happy, but also to keep the rest of the world quite.

Indeed an intriguing point made. Given the mess in the Middle East... but then anybody would know to pull out the troops from there.
It is not that easy. It is easy to bring in the troops and to control the land, but to pull out, with a heart (which means, we still get some oil), is a different story. Saddam was in control and his country was at peace (aside from some major curd killings and muslim supression in around Basra). Saddam made the mistake to invade QW and expect to get away with it. Bush Senior did a good job there with the coalition. Then came Afganistan with its fanatics and support for Osama. I don't know anyone here (from left to right) who doesn't support that intervention. But then we had Bush junior, mr wide legs and brainless who needed to keep his NRA, KKK and other lowlifes happy. And then the sh.. hit the fan. Anyone ever noticed that George and his wife made the devils sign in plain public? (fist with upstanding thump and little finger).
